A Court of Silver Flames : Maas, Sarah J.: desertcart.in: Books Review: Journey of self-discovery, redemption, and empowerment. - Rating: ★★★★★ Sarah J. Maas returns to the captivating world of Prythian with her latest installment, "A Court of Silver Flames." As the fifth book in the "A Court of Thorns and Roses" series, Maas continues to weave a tale of love, sacrifice, and growth, this time focusing on the fiery and complex character, Nesta Archeron. In "A Court of Silver Flames," readers are thrust into the aftermath of the war against the King of Hybern. Nesta, once a fierce but troubled human, is now grappling with the consequences of her actions and the emotional trauma she endured. Haunted by her past, Nesta finds herself on a journey of self-discovery, redemption, and empowerment. Maas skillfully delves into the depths of Nesta's psyche, depicting her struggles with addiction, self-destructive tendencies, and the battle to reclaim her own sense of self-worth. While Nesta's character transformation might not be easily likable or relatable for all readers, it is undeniably raw and realistic. Maas doesn't shy away from exploring the dark and complicated aspects of Nesta's personality, allowing her growth to be a truly cathartic and empowering experience. One of the highlights of "A Court of Silver Flames" is the exploration of female friendships and the bonds of sisterhood. The relationship between Nesta and her sister, Feyre, takes center stage, portraying the complexities, love, and healing that can arise between siblings. The introduction of new characters, including the intriguing and enigmatic Cassian, adds depth to the narrative and offers fresh dynamics to the existing cast. As with Maas's previous works, the romance in the story is passionate and steamy. The tension between Nesta and Cassian is palpable, evolving from a fiery rivalry to a slow-burning connection. Their relationship is laced with equal parts animosity and vulnerability, making it a captivating and addictive aspect of the book. While "A Court of Silver Flames" successfully delves into the emotional and psychological aspects of its characters, some readers may find the pacing slower than anticipated. The focus on character development and internal struggles can sometimes overshadow the external plot, leading to a slower progression of events. However, for fans of Maas's writing style, the rich world-building, intricate relationships, and nuanced character arcs will more than compensate for the pacing. Overall, "A Court of Silver Flames" is a worthy addition to the "A Court of Thorns and Roses" series. Sarah J. Maas continues to impress with her ability to craft complex characters and delve into the depths of their emotional journeys. Nesta's story of redemption and empowerment, combined with the familiar elements that have endeared readers to the series, makes this book a must-read for fans of Maas's captivating fantasy universe. Love the author's work, but the book could be of better quality.
I'd read this book online already but I just had to possess the physical copy along with the previous books in this series, so I bought it. I loved what Maas did with Nesta's character. The growth she gave her was incredible. I may have actually started liking, if not outright loving, Nesta after ACOSF. After ACOMAF, this is my favourite in the series and I know I'll keep coming back to it, especially to re-read the training and the character arcs. Coming to the quality of the book, I'd seen this book in Crossword and the quality and price too were great. So I went for the cheaper version online, that is this one. As you can see from the cover page, it's slightly tilted, but hey, the meat of the book is all in there. I'm no stickler for page quality and gloss as long as the print is readable and doesn't have mistakes. But if you care about the looks of the book, maybe go to Crossword. All in all, highly recommend this book and seller.

Nesta Archeron is one of the most beautifully written female characters!
ACOSF is my heart and soul. Nesta Nesta Nesta!! This woman!!! I've never loved a fictional character as much as I love her. Moreover, I really enjoyed watching Rhysand and the Inner Circle's flaws through Nesta's viewpoint as their wrongdoings often go unnoticed because at the end of the day what they do is always for the greater good. And Cassian??? MY PURE SUNSHINE BABY I LOVE HIM SM 😭 I'm so so glad he never gave up on Nesta and the lake scene where she sobbed in his arms broke my heart 😭 Nessian are my comfort couple and to every Nesta out there who shuts the world out and is constantly drowned by emotions that she feels in extremes, I hope we all make peace with our emotions one day. Personally my favorite part of the book was Nesta saying "I love you" to Feyre over and over again and bargaining with the Cauldron to give her and baby Nyx life. If it wasn't for Nesta, the main couple of the ACOTAR series and their baby boy would be DEAD. And if you still hate Nesta after ACOSF, just let me tell you that you're the same type of person who praises and swoons over morally grey fictional MEN when they go through their character development and redemption arc. Also, chapter 58 of ACOSF >>>>>> chapter 55 of of ACOMAF. I loved the musical metaphors used to describe their mating bond. And the scene where Rhysand kneeled infront of Nesta and Nesta wrapped his arms around him and they both wept has my whole heart 😭 And lastly, if the next book isn't about Gwyn and Azriel after that bonus chapter and all those tiny little Gwynriel scenes during their training then I'm gonna jump off a cliff 😇 I love Gywn so so much and I'd love to see her as a main character. I'm so so excited for the next book I really cannot wait 💀

Enjoyed reading ACOSF but didn't like it.
Of all the Archeron sisters, I could relate to Nesta the most. She built her walls high enough to not let anyone cause her harm and was wary of everyone. She felt guilty about the way she treated Feyre and tried to mend her relationship with her, so that’s a growth that I liked reading in this book. She created an inner circle of her own, which was cute and admirable. The House of Wind also became her friend. The house was literally alive, and it brought food to Nesta and recommended books too. Can you imagine that! I have mixed feelings about this house because after having read Mexican Gothic, I don’t think I can like a house that interacts with a person, so maybe another time I might like this but not now. This is my first book of SJM which I didn’t have to push myself hard to read. The writing wasn’t complex or slow-paced like the other books. This is also the most smuttiest SJM novel so far. I loved Cassian and Nesta’s relationship. It developed from lust to something more than love in the end. I just wish Rhys and Feyre didn’t have to interrupt the plot repeatedly. They had 3.5 novels, and they should just shut up and let the others enjoy the spotlight. I also expected a plot-driven novel that was seeped with new problems and magic, but I wasn’t impressed with how the story turned out. I enjoyed reading this book but didn’t like it, so if you have read the previous books and love this series, then I recommend this book to you. (This was originally posted on my blog.) Ps. I preordered this book kn December but didn't receive this book on publication day. It was not dispatched even after two days after the release and I started to worry and was about to cancel this order but reached out to Amazon and they resolved the problem soon.

I STAN MAAS BOOKS!
Book Title: A Court Of Silver Flames Author: Sarah J Maas Format: Paperback Book Title: The book title suits the story. Book Cover: The cover could have been better. My review: There are just some books that are so epically written that it just becomes so difficult to review them to the point that you're just so unsatisfied to taint this perfection of a storyline with your review. because truthfully, no review would be enough to properly convey the plethora of emotions and maas destruction you've experienced at the hand of this book! While I was a little indifferent about Nesta in the ACOTAR series but absolutely adored Cassian (my precious baby). But when Nessian's story was announced, I was excited to see how their story pans out! And I was happy and a lot teary by the last page. I was absolutely happy with a lot of visits by the old characters but I want to talk about Nesta and Cass for now. A lot of the time, I would forget that behind that goofball personality of Cass is a strong fierce 500 year old warrior who's protective of the people he loves. I'll be honest I initially was wary of Nesta but as the story progressed and I got to know her and her pain, I could feel her pain and confusion. The relationship between Nesta and The House was so profound that it touched my heart! Also the fierce trio- Nesta, Emirie and Gwyen was so beautiful it made my heart bleed. Though there was less action, the story was more about Nesta's pain and her journey. The author covered a lot of topics like feminism, s+_+al as_++lt, female friendship, motherhood and me_+al il+n_+_ses like su=_dal thoughts and depr++_ion. The female aka Queen Nesta is grumpy to Cassian's sunshine. I absolutely loved Cass and his efforts to always keep reaching out for Nesta. (I want a Cass in my life!!!) In conclusion, READ THE BOOK ALREADY !!! Final Verdict Title: 5/5 Cover: 4/5 Plot:5/5 Characters:5/5 Language and Vocabulary: 5/5 Final overall rating: 5/5
