The original 3x3 Rubik’s Cube remains one of the most satisfying puzzles ever made. I bought this for my seven-year-old daughter after she joined her school’s Rubik’s Cube club, and it has been a big hit. She was thrilled when she managed to complete her first full white side - a small but significant milestone that she couldn’t wait to show off. The build quality of this version is excellent. The cube feels solid and well-weighted, with smooth turning action and no sticking or slipping between rotations. The coloured tiles are vibrant and durable, so there’s no risk of stickers peeling or fading over time - a welcome improvement on earlier versions I remember growing up with. As for the puzzle itself, it’s every bit as engaging and frustrating as it ever was. I’ve had a few attempts myself and quickly remembered how tricky it can be. Admittedly though, that’s part of its enduring appeal. It’s an exercise in logic, patience and problem-solving that feels both nostalgic and timeless. A great purchase for children and adults alike, it’s one of those rare toys that continues to challenge across generations and still manages to inspire the same sense of achievement when you finally get all the colours lined up.
