Great little hard drive. Easy to use, plug in and go!! Will be buying another one soon!!

Best out of the box experience. OK, I'm joking. If you are selling an external hard drive, make sure you format it first yourself. Actually it doesn't matter. What matters is you selling me stuff that actually works. You see the Enclosure is trash. It refuses to work. So, I decided to take it out of the enclosure and connect the hard drive up to my PC directly via SATA and it worked. Please, if you are selling something, make sure it actually works. I even tried using the enclosure with Linux and it didn't worked.

Works fine, and contains a real Western Digital Blue 320GB drive, although just a 5400rpm model. Only downside is that the drive is not firmly held inside and 'flaps' (rattles) with the sata connector as the hinge - which doesn't bode well for longevity of that connector! Easily fixed though, I opened the case and wrapped a strip of felt in a U-shape on the far end of the drive, then re-inserted in the case. That held it in place vertically and stopped it rattling just fine.

Quality metal case and nice 320gib hard drive for my time machine back up.

This device completely froze up my pc and by the time it final recongized it my computer crashed. And it wasn't recoverable tried it on two computers to be sure and needless to say it did it twice. DO NOT BUY

This product requires formatting. The supplier copies a generic instruction list written by a third party which does not work. It requires significant google work to format and use this product. Overall left a bad impression.

DOA! Disk Utility can't format it. Disk Warrior can't see it. Unfortunately, I ordered it and was call out of town. Now it's too late to return it.
