For my 2013 Audi S4 I have a RSNAV s2 Android unit (aftermarket). It works but the include wire Android Auto was super sensitive with the USB connection to the phone. After getting this adapter that problem is gone. Wireless connection take about 10 seconds and it just works. The adapter install was a little bit of a pain. The apk file on the device would not install as it said it was bad. Went to the website and pulled the latest version and it installed perfectly. I have changed the settings to play via Bluetooth as the adapter had a off hiss and static at higher volumes. Not a issue after the change. Other than that, this works great so far.

I saw this on sale and decided to finally pull the trigger on upgrading my Android Auto/Carplay for my Android Radio for my car. I originally had the Carlinkit 2.0, which only supported a wired connection. It was good, but had some draw backs such as audio getting clipped when directions were being read, a stretched aspect ratio and day/night mode not automatically switching. I am pleased to say after upgrading to this version, all of the issues I had with the old version have been resolved! Not only that, but I also get wireless, which really was my main reason for buying this. The wireless functionality works extremely well, and I have not noticed any significant lag. The audio is very good as well. Needless to say, I extremely recommend this product, even if you have an older version. It is worth it!

Attempted use with a 2025 Cadillac Optiq - could not install APK after 4 hours of trying including resetting the car system, developer mode, enabling all permissions etc. GM does not want you to install 3rd party apps.

Sooo at first I was struggling with it because I went to the file manager and downloaded the box helper apk which wasn’t right. I emailed support carlinkit and got no help for 3 days so decided to message on amazon and got an immediate response. They were very very helpful and I was actually supposed to go to Google Chrome on my android head unit and put a link that they gave me when I messaged. Only thing I would tell them to do is putting the link in the instructions manual, but overall I am very satisfied and it works great so far in this week that I’m using it!

It works great. I think the complaints are if you have a very bad radio so it doesn’t sync but so far a great product. Wireless has a small lag but still great.

Owned the wired-only version for three years with little to no trouble, so decided to upgrade to this model for the wireless CarPlay feature. Unfortunately, while it technically works, the phone has to stay very close to the dongle for a stable connection, which largely defeats the purpose of going wireless. On top of that, audio would randomly cut out when playing music and using Siri, so it was ultimately returned, and the reliable wired dongle was kept instead.

When it works, it is awesome! However, that is about 75% of the time. Otherwise, it is so slow to connect, it is beyond irritating, and then about 10% of the time the streaming music skips pretty badly. But, as you can see most of the time it does work pretty well, it's just super frustrating when it doesn't. You will find yourself having to reset your phone or your head unit pretty frequently.

Bought a cheap car radio for my Toyota Camry and the app that came with that (TiVAN) was awful. Nothing worked for CarPlay and if it did, it might've only mirrored with AirPlay not even CarPlay. Bought this as a last resort and followed the instructions, and it works perfect! Just make sure you have the right Android version and that you're connected to good wifi or a hotspot to download the apk.

Funciona bien el 10% de las veces, no se conecta al Telefono, Siempre has que estar conectandolo manualmente desde el celular. El software del stereo no lo reconoce la mayoria de la veces. No lo recomiendo para nada para uso con Android Headset.
