Mead MEA59878 - Cambridge Stiff-Back Quad Planning Pad

if you’re like me and your detailed and enjoy making this with a quality engineering pad, this is the one. It has a very stiff back and two cover sheets so that when the first one crumbles and falls off, which they always inevitably do you have a second one. I’ve been using these products basically since 1994 when I was in college. They’re excellent quality really I don’t know how they could make this a better product. I do estimates for houses and I make signs and these are just perfect.

Nice thick back pad for writing on the go. Pages tear off pad smoothly. Good 1/4" scale grid for drawing layouts for building/planning. Thick paper so heavy writing doesn't transfer to next sheet. I am an interior designer and work with builder on new homes. We use these pads Dailey for notes on the job and sketches. It's been hard to find a good thick back but this is perfect so I buy in bulk.

The thick cardboard backing is perfect for what I need - a strong back that won't give while I am writing, while I am holding it. The cross-hatched ruling of the paper is also perfect - I often doodle and draw other notes attached to the notes I am writing, and it allows me to go out of the normal confines of horizontal ruled paper. Good stuff, totally worth it.
