Le Creuset Stoneware Mug, 14 oz., White

I bought four of these Le Creuset mugs in different colors. The packaging was good -- large bubble wrap tightly taped around each. They came with those horrible sticky labels on the bottom that don't peel off in one go, but I soaked them overnight in water and that makes them come unstuck easily. A separate little clear label said "Made in China." They're capacious and comfortable to hold. The lips are about 1/8ths of an inch thick on each, though the cobalt blue and red mugs inexplicably have thicker walls below the lip (and thus will hold less coffee or tea than the others). The glazing is also fairly consistent, in bright and cheery saturated colors. The interior is a pale coffee color, not white, and not noticeably different to the naked eye across the mugs. However, one of the four came with a slight mar in the glaze: the fennel green mug has a small-sand-grain-sized imperfection in the glaze that is quite obvious. I'm surprised it passed Le Creuset quality standards. I wouldn't complain normally -- it looks as sturdy as the others -- but when I pay $12 to $16 for a single mug by Le Creuset, I expect perfection.

This Le Creuset color (Dijon) has been discontinued. I was glad to find two more mugs in this color. I have been drinking tea and coffee from my mugs for a while, and like the size and easy cleanup/stain resistance.

思ったよりも大きかったですがル・クルーゼっぽく、気に入ってます。
