Long-Time FoodSaver User — This New Valve Makes a Big Difference
I’ve been using FoodSaver reusable vacuum zipper bags for years, so I came into this latest version already expecting a solid product. What I didn’t expect was how much of an improvement the redesigned valve would make — and it truly feels like a game changer. Previous versions worked well, but sealing required a bit of juggling. You often had to hold the suction attachment in place and keep pressing on the valve to maintain a proper seal during vacuuming. With this upgraded design, that extra effort is gone. The new valve features a wider surface around the opening that creates a secure seal between the bag and the vacuum device. Once connected, it stays in place on its own, allowing you to let go and simply let the machine do its job. That may sound like a small change, but in everyday use it makes the entire process smoother, faster, and much more convenient — especially when sealing multiple bags. Beyond the improved valve, the bags maintain everything I’ve always appreciated about FoodSaver products. They feel durable and well-made, are easy to clean and reuse, and the BPA-free, microwave-safe design adds versatility for real kitchen use. They hold a strong seal and remain reliably leakproof. Overall, this is a thoughtful upgrade to an already good product. If you’ve used earlier versions of FoodSaver reusable bags, you’ll immediately notice the difference. And if you’re new to reusable vacuum bags, this updated design makes them easier and more user-friendly than ever.

Very high quality vacuum seal bags.
I've been using vacuum sealed bags for more than a decade. As a chef I used restaurant grade bags from a well known manufacturer that were not marketed commercially. They discontinued these bags. Fortunately, I had a large inventory. I finally ran out of the quart size bags and thought I was out of luck. I happened to see these from FoodSaver and decided to try them. They are vastly superior to the ones I have been using. My hand-held vacuum pump works perfectly with them. The bags seal in just a few seconds. My old bags took 30-45 seconds to seal. The FoodSaver bags remove all the air and I would say this is a restaurant grade vacuum. I highly recommend these bags and its nice to know that FoodSaver will be around for a long time.

Convenient and Versatile Vacuum Bags – But Not Perfect
These Foodsaver reusable gallon-size vacuum zipper bags are a great option for food storage. The large size easily fits four chicken breasts, making them perfect for meal prepping or bulk storage. Using them with the hand vacuum is simple and effective, and with 10 bags in a pack, there are plenty for multiple uses. One of the biggest conveniences is that they’re microwave-safe for easy thawing and work great for sous vide cooking, holding up well in hot water. However, one of the bags stopped sealing after just one use, which was disappointing. Most of them have worked fine, but durability could be improved. Overall, these are versatile and easy to use, making them a great choice for anyone looking to vacuum-seal food without the waste of single-use bags. Despite the occasional sealing issue, they’re still a solid purchase.

Small but mighty
This is such a nice change from the big, bulky FoodSaver unit I used for years. That one served me well, so I trust the brand, but I don’t miss how much space it took up. This mini version is small but mighty. I keep it right on the countertop because it barely takes up any room and actually looks neat sitting there. It’s easy to use and seals well. Between this and meal prep, I always have homemade meals ready to go in the freezer now. It’s made freezing leftovers and prepped meals feel simple instead of a whole production.

Pretty good approach to resealable vacuum bagging
I had been looking at vacuum Seal bags over a long period of time. But really put off because of the size of the equipment to do the bag sealing and because of the waste of plastic When you have to throw away the bag. So when I saw this food saver resealable bag outfit i was impressed by the compactness of the equipment, The simplicity of a sealing operation and the efficient use of plastic. So I gave it a try and got it about 5 days ago. I put some chicken that I wanted to keep inside the first quart sized bag, sealed the bag and put it in the freezer and I did that for 3 bags. The seal is tight on all 3, even after 5 days in the freezer. There is 0 frost inside the bag and all I can really see Is the chicken meat in the bag, But nothing else. So I am very optimistic that this is gonna work. I did one thing that may turn out to be an advantage. I first put a 1/2 lb of sliced chicken in a normal ziploc bag, But did not fully seal it. Then I took that ziploc bag and I put it inside the food saver Resealable bag. And then I pulled the vacuum on the foodsaver bag, and all the air from the ziploc bag and from inside the foodsaver bag also came out. The advantage is that when I defrost The food saver bag and remove the ziplock bag, then I already have the chicken inside a ziploc bag that I can open and close as many times as I want. And the food saver bag never gets dirty Because it never comes in direct contact with the chicken. It should be simple to wash the food saver bags which should last longer by doing that. We'll see how it turns out. 3 weeks frozen, no frost, no leakage. 30sec microwave, then open up vacuum bag, remove food, wash vacuum bag. No issues.

Nice bags
These are better than the original foodsaver bags. The valve is more robust so it probably won’t start leaking as fast. The zipper is more robust too. They also include a little plastic tool to help zip the bags closed completely the first time. Nice heavy duty plastic bags.

Soft zipper may cause seal loss
These are made well and have nice soft sealing strips (not exactly zippers). But they permanently deform when touched too hard and cause sealing issues. Flip the zipper section out for loading 3D filament

Sadly they don't keep their vacuum, and must be filled nearly everyday to avoid freezer burns I thought they are better than the older generation but Sadly they are not
