12v DC 1.2A Micro Submersible Water Pumps High Lift 5M 600L/H

Update 1/2/25 - Still going strong, no lockup and it gets used about once every few weeks. Pump works very well with plenty of head to it. Works with a few AA's and even a 9V battery! I bought this to water plants that are high off the ground in my home. I had a water transfer pump (plenty of the cheap ones you see on amazon and harbor freight) which worked OK but due to the distance the water transfer pump didn't push enough water up faster due to the lack of head. This unit works great with a 9V batter but 6 AA's worked best and provided plenty of pumping. I'm sure if I had more current to the unit it would pump even faster than I needed. Batteries worked perfect. I'll 3d Print some parts to turn this into a handheld unit with a button but overall very pleased for the price point.

My wife climbs a ladder every weekend to water plants that are up high on a beam in our house. So I got this project idea and decided to built it using this pump. I connected some PEX tubing to the pump's water outlet and this thing easily pumps water to the house plants 10 feet high. The pump runs on 12-16 volts dc, so I wired it to an ON/OFF rocker switch, then to a 12 volt dc power supply that plugs in to a normal residential 120 volt ac outlet. All of the electrical parts were inexpensive and bought on Amazon. The PEX was cheap and found at a local hardware store. I put a hook-shaped bend at the top of the tubing using a PEX corner bracket. It works so good. Just put the pump in a bucket of water, plug in the power supply, then turn on the switch. Total cost was around $50.

Purchased this little pump to pull out the last water caught in my dead washer. It works just fine. Later I used it to pump out a 50 gallon barrel that catches rain water. Another success. A sturdy little pump.

This is the second of these types of pumps I've bought in less than a month. The other was sold by a different seller, but they are the same pump. The first one failed in less than two weeks. This one failed in three days. I wouldn't have bought another of these types of pumps, but because they've gotten decent reviews, I though the first failure was just a fluke. Turns out it wasn't. This pump, new, would spray water over a foot high out of it's outlet when plugged in. Now it will push water to maybe an inch high, when it decides to work at all. I bought these for a portable swamp cooler I built, and for as long as the pumps actually run, it works great. Problem is the pumps don't seem to want to run for more than a couple of weeks, at the most. I won't be buying another one.

This pump works great, but the wiring for the pump is WAY TOO SMALL. I only ran it for a little over 2 minutes trying to empty a dingy of water. The wires started MELTING. I was running it from a small 12v SLA battery, so it was only running at about 12.6v vs when a charger or alternator would be running at 13.6-14.2v. You can see the pump also started melting and disfiguring the case. I previously used it just for ~30 seconds at time and It did pump great, but you need to somehow limit the time or you can create a hazardous situation. Glad I didn't just have this on a float switch. UPDATE: Contacted the seller and they refunded the cost for the first one, so I purchased a second one and will test that when it arrives. Reading many of the other reviews, appears others didn't have this problem so perhaps it was just something in the first pump failed. Will update after I get some time with the new one.

I use this pump to transfer RO water from a 5 gallon cube into a saltwater aquarium because it drops right into the cubes opening. I have it on a relay I can control remotely, and it gets about 30 seconds of use every day. It's been dependable for just shy of 3 years. With the exception of swapping out jugs, it's been submerged the entire time. I let it sit dry for about a month and it seized up, which isn't unexpected. I just bought another to replace it today. It's loud enough to know it's running, but not loud enough to be distracting.

I purchased this for our motor home for when we dry camp. My husband and I physically can't lift and hold the 6 gallon water containers to add more water to our tanks when we're not in proximity to a water spigot. The pump fits inside the water container and pumps almost the entire container into our holding tank in just a matter of minutes.

I have some issues with product but customer service was very helpful get that issue solved.
