Amazon Brand - Happy Belly Select Carnaroli Risotto Rice, 1kg, Pack of 5

This is Italian Venere rice and great value compared to other brands given that I have to buy it online as it’s not available locally at this price. Measure out the quantity and soak for 20 minutes then rinse twice before cooking, adding just a pinch of salt. It requires a longer cooking time than white rice. I pressure cooked it in my Ninja Foodie Max for 16 mins then delayed release for 10 mins for ‘al dente’. Great flavour and doesn’t spike my blood sugar like white rice., more of a gradual rise so diabetics should still control their carb portions and use this as an occasional treat. Currently unavailable so I hope it’s back in stock soon.

Quite expensive for what it is - but I like black rice, it's nuttier, it makes you feel healthier just by eating it!

I've become a bit of a risotto fiend and was happy to find this well-priced option for 5kg carnaroli rice. It results in a much creamier risotto than arborio rice. Try it in a pressure cooker if you want to avoid stirring!

Taste and texture divine. Be careful when you wash the rice it’s discolours the water you cook the rice in and can stain as it’s deep purple.

I received the rice I ordered, but the expiry date is just a bit more than a month. Usually, rice lasts for 18-24 months or longer. I do not run a restaurant, and if I order rice, I do not expect 5 kg of rice to expire soon after I receive it. I can only give 1 star because of that.

Canaroli-Reis zählt bekanntermaßen zu den absolut besten Reissorten. Dieses Fünferpack hat einen relativ günstigen Preis. Daher meine Kaufempfehlung!
