Have a few uses stacked up before buying, it’s nice but you pay for quality.
It’s expensive but you do get a fair bit for the money, it can do a variety of things, it’s pretty bad with the router attachment though, probably only use it for like small areas that a big router can’t access. High quality tool. I love the case.

Top quality, easy to use
Been contemplating upgrading to a Dremel for a while having struggled with a few different cheaper copies. I decided it was about time I treated myself !I've not been disappointed as everything about the drill, its box, the accessories are all well made and designed. It's a lot quieter than the cheap copies I've been using and with twin batteries I've been able to use it all day - mainly shaping wood for my model boats and occasionally as a quick way to clean up my 3D prints.A bit of freehand engraving of a bow sprit gave really good results too.

Another Winner
Yes the Dremel has finally gone wireless. No more cables getting in the way as this rechargeable by as taken over. I love the blue case that comes with it, but I would suggest Dremel add a second draw with a foam insert so you can cut and add additional accessories to your case. I like having the Bluetooth connection as you can select what you want to do and the app will tell you which accessories to use and recommended speed to use. It will then offer to transfer those settings to the tool by just po reading the YES button displayed on your phone or tablet.

Does a good job
I have many Dremel tools but this is the first time I've tried a cordless. It is easy to control, has lots of power for most small DIY jobs and the batteries last a decent amount of time. So convenient to use without having to find a socket or extension lead.

You Get What You Pay For And Wow. What a great bit of kit
As an owner of a Dremel for a number of years now, when my trusty old 3000 finally gave up the ghost, i decided it was time to upgrade to this 8260. What actually swung the deal for me was'nt just the 2 3Ah batteries & the nice looking case but the reliability & sturdiness of the name DREMEL.Once i'd charged the batteries, the first job i did was to cut down some M4 machine screws which were too long. The gentle start up of the 8260 was amazing & the contour of the body made it almost pleasurable to hold. The cut off disc went through the thread with very little fuss & almost no sparks. So i'm over the moon with it so far. :-)Certainly worth the money & i highly recommend this tool :-)

Brilliant small rotary/multi tool
Dremel is excellent for the small cutting jobs. I was struggling with large tools but didn't want corded so bought the 8660. It's so helpful having an App to advise on which accessory to use and to set the speed via Bluetooth. I've found the included accessories a good range but have bought several - the most useful being the chuck, the multi vise and the set of router bits.

A nice 'together' set for light jobs, but eats batteries with the flex extender.
Dremel are what they are... Popular tools for light-duty DIY/hobbies and this is the best I've had to-date. Liked this kit so much that I purchased two other kits for my brothers for Xmas.It also features a more torquey brushless motor, with rotary feedback that actually regulates the speed. Quite unlike my old mains and other battery models, you can set a given speed and the motor endeavours to maintain it under load.Doesn't fair well with the lossy flexible extension however. On a full battery charge, literally didn't last five minutes when cutting an LCD display aperture in a die-cast box. I'd also correctly hung the dremel from the workshop ceiling, with minimal bend in the extension. Possibly something to do with inadequate lubrication of the extender, though certainly something to be aware of. For all such cases, the 2nd battery is essential as they do take considerable time to charge. The removable 'spannering' sleeve is a welcome addition however. You put in your bit and pre-tighten, unscrew the sleeve from the motor body, slide it over the spanner key on the chuck, and twist to tighten up. Then screw the sleeve back on the body.In summary, a great little tool. Made to a budget and all Dremel products are rather over-priced IMHO, but well-worth having in your workshop to save considerable time as a 'grab & go' tool - particularly where mains power or cumbersome extension lead is non-existent.
