Solid, easy to use and strong.

I got this lock after having two consecutive combination locks cut from my bicycle. I neglected to write down the combinations I'd set, and after a long winter, I couldn't remember them! So, I decided to go with a key lock. This is a SOLID lock and chain, but it is heavy and bulky. So, I often have to take a few extra minutes after unlocking it so I can figure out how to wrap it around my seat peg. The block where you insert the key is so large that it will droop down and get in the way of my legs or hang down and bang against the frame if I don't wrap it tightly enough. The chain itself is so bulky that it makes wrapping it a challenge. I don't have any storage on my bike (and don't wear a backpack), so this is the only place I can store it. But for the price, it's a great lock.

It looks exactly as advertised, and comes with two keys. the key hole has an environmental slide so you don't get rain in the lock, and the chain is nicely covered in a bike-paint protecting layer of... well, something. It's a thick chain - this is not the kind of bike chain you can cut with industrial shears. Well, maybe you could - but anyone trying to steal your bike with industrial shears probably needs it more than you. Look - This is the best bike lock and chain set I've ever bought, and I've gone through my share of bikes. I bought two, one for each kid, and it made them feel secure. If your bike gets stolen with this lock in place, you either didn't lock it properly (remember, always through the FRAME, not just the front tire), someone cut the thing you locked the bike to, or someone owns the aforementioned industrial shears. TLDR: Great price, Great lock, Would buy again, but I don't see this one needing replacement any time soon.

Decent security but not total security. I've withstood at least two attempts to break this lock. First some kind of cutters to the lock's box, second a torch to the lock hole itself. I don't know what results the pyro was trying to achieve. Also, the key continues to work after the pyro's visit mangled as the plastic and cover are ... You can definitely get a lock more secure than this but this one has an excellent price to protection ratio. Pro Tip: Two different types of locks and two different securing points makes a harder target.
