XL Wide Scratchers, 3 Pieces

Have been buying these for a while. If your cat likes scratching cardboard, it's gonna love these scratching posts. They're reversible, so you get more out of a single block, and whatever shreds come out can be vacuumed up easily. They come with a little bit of catnip that I sprinkle on the first block as a little cherry-on-top for my kitty. She sits on the scratching post constantly, and scratches a lot. I think it's been saving my furniture, actually. Great product, great price!

I really like the size of these. I've got four cats and three of them are big boys and one little lady. All four are vigorous scratchers. It says they're catnip infused and the kitties smell it and really get their claws in there. They're built sturdy and I like that you can flip them over and use the other side. They must be comfortable because the cats also like to nap on it. I left one in the delivery box.. they really love that one! It's really surprising how much they like using these, they've almost disintegrated the cardboard! They've been very functional for giving the kitties scratching relief so they don't scratch furniture or walls. I will be needing to buy these again! 🐈‍⬛✨

There is mixed commentary in the reviews on reversibility. This IS reversible...although there are 2 ways to do it. •1st option: the manufacturer provides a removable panel on the back. When you want to flip this over, remove the perforated section on the back side to expose a fresh surface. The downside to this method is that it will eliminate a backing for the scratcher, allowing detrious and catnip particles to fall thru to the floor. •2nd option: using a serrated knife or box cutter, carefully slice thru the glue along the long sides (see photo). The short ends and the bottom are not glued. This will allow you to remove the cardboard scratcher and flip it over, while preserving a box with a bottom. It's too bad the manufacturer didn't simply not glue the insert in the first place. I'm not sure of the reason for that. I've used other scratch boxes for years that were flippable. So I docked a star for that. Other comments: •The product was well packaged and arrived on time. The cardboard insert seems sturdy and well-glued. So far kitty has liked it. •The box holding the insert is made of thinner cardboard than scratchers I have purchased in the past. But it seems sufficient for its use. Be gentle with it if you do the knife-slicing mentioned above. •The color and pattern are true to the photos. The dimensions are as listed. •There is only 1 small pack of catnip for the 3 boxes, not 1 pack per box. •For $16.60 plus tax for 3 scratchers, the price was reasonable vs the price of other scratchers out there. •I do wish they had a couple more color choices so customers could better coordinate it with their interiors. That said, the kitty doesn't mind the color at all ;) UPDATE, 4/23/19: kitty continues to love this scratcher. I haven't replenished the catnip. I have two for her - one in the hall outside our bedroom, one in the living room. First thing in the morning, after leaving our bed, she runs to her scratcher to stretch and scratch. She used to do this on the hall runner rug. So now no worries about snags in the rug. She likes the scratcher much better. The one in the living room is a favorite spot for her to just sit and look around. Cats...cardboard...a match made in heaven, lol.

These cost less than half what I paid at a certain name brand pet supply store, and they're the exact same quality. When one side starts to look a little ratty, it can be flipped upside down and placed back in the tray for a longer lifespan. The value is incredible. My cat adores these scratch pads. I don't have to sprinkle catnip on it, he's interested in it just as it is. He leaves the carpet and furniture alone and scratches into this when he's bored, frustrated, or in a good mood. He likes to sit on it and sleep on it sometimes as well. I can't read his mind, but I believe it's good for his health to have these around. Bits of shredded cardboard fly around, but that's the nature of cardboard scratch pads. It's easy to vacuum up with the rest of the dust twice a week.

I opened the box and each of my three cats perched on a scratcher and it was scratcher heaven. They are a decent size and the cats like to sleep on them too

I buy these because the design is great My cat loves scratching on it and it's a good price for three now the little pack of catnip that comes with it is not enough for all three but that's fine cuz I buy my catnip separately no assembly required and one thing I have found is when my cat is done on one side instead of throwing it away I just flip it over and they can use the other side so even though you're getting three it's almost like getting six because you can flip it over and use the bottom side when the top side gets wore out and that's what I like about it you definitely get more for your money with this

We’ve ordered these from other companies both at our home AND at the no kill shelter I volunteer at. And the cheaper ones shred and make quite a mess. These do not make a mess and they don’t shred easily- AND they add a little “pop” of festive color to any room!!!!!! So please consider these if you’re looking for cardboard, scratchers because the cats have so much fun. They scratch and their claws don’t get caught like it does in the sisal. A huge plus is that they’re reversible. We always reinforce our boxes with clear packing tape and that only takes about three or four minutes to go around each edge with the tape. But that way your box will last for both sides of your cardboard scratcher.

This is a good product. It’s large, sturdy and all my 3 cats loved it. Also you can remove the casing on the other side and turn it around. Definitely buy it!

We tried scratching posts & ramps, but our cat wouldn't go anywhere near them, no matter how hard we tried. With only a little bit of encouragement, Rascal took to the scratching pad on regular occasions, saving our leather lounge from further destruction. It's also one of his favourite places to sit.
