I Will See You in Heaven (Cat Lover's Edition) Review: A soothing message... - Written by a Franciscan Friar, this gentle book delivers the message that God loves all creatures and will ensure our beloved pets have a place with us in Heaven. Friar Jack backs up his theories by sharing elements from the life of St. Francis, plus specific Bible verses. Those, especially, are enlightening. I’ve always held my own beliefs about pets and Heaven, and it was encouraging to see those beliefs backed-up with scripture. If you’ve ever lost a pet, this book will touch your soul and offer comfort in knowing you’ll see them again. Review: Beautiful book! - I love both the dog and cat versions of this book! Friar Jack cuts through all the theological and scholastic nonsense that we hear from priests who assert that animals do not have eternal souls, and he shows, from revelation, reason and experience, that of course they do, and of course "all dogs [cats, et al.] go to heaven!"

This book helps you feel peace as you grieve your loss.
This book was immensely helpful when I lost my beautiful cat of 14 years, Hopper. Like you, I loved my cat dearly and am having trouble adjusting to life without him. I read this book in one sitting and found it to be comforting during a difficult time. If you are reading this it’s probably because you have lost your special companion too and I am so sorry for your loss. This book will help you realize there is a reason to be hopeful.

The Soul of a Cat
I remember in my childhood home a framed cross-stich that read "Cats Are People Too," and as one who grew up with cats, horses, rabbits, and other animals, I believed it. I experienced the love and companionship of animals firsthand, so it was always hard for me to grasp the concept of a Heaven without the souls of the animals who helped raise me. If God gave each animal its own personality, likes, dislikes, and other traits, why would He not give them a soul? This book dispels the theory of soulless animals with direct evidence from the Bible to support its claim. Stories of Noah, Jonah, and St. Francis show us the love God shows his smallest creatures and His plan for them. Friar Jack Wintz even states, "Humans and other creatures are actually meant to help one another reach our common salvation." Now for those who are looking for a book to speak directly to cat owners, this book appears to be the same as the original edition, save for some minor details, such as the cover and chapter decorations. The text encompasses all animals and does not single out cats. The only exception to this is Chapter 12 titled, "The Soul of a Cat." Again, the author mostly encompasses all forms of animals into this conversation. If this book is intended as a gift, there is a presentation page in which the giver can write that it is in remembrance of an animal. At 102 easy pages, this book is a quick and comforting read for those who are mourning their lost animal friends. I bought it for myself to help me mourn my own loss, and it was very helpful.

Helped My Broken Heart
This book really helped me during my deep grieving. Our Romeo was the most amazing cat son, he taught my family and his cat siblings so much about love, compassion, and resilience. He was a happy warrior to the end of this life. Our loss was great and our hearts broken. This book, which is so beautifully written, gave me peace in knowing we will see our beloved Romeo again…….In Heaven with our Lord.

A beautiful, gentle, consoling book
A truly consoling, uplifting book that gently convinces readers that they will see their beloved pets again. Presents beautiful, touching examples of people's animals that have lived loving, heroic lives here on earth. The author supports his claim that animals will dwell with man in eternity by presenting ample scripture references and explaining their meaning. Also a beautiful evangelization tool for those who believe God exists, but who are not familiar with the Bible.

For anyone who has ever lost a beloved kitty.
Very inspirational little book. As someone who has been a long time kitty parent, and as someone who has lost several kitties (both to old age and to accidents that took them prematurely), I found this book very calming and very reassuring. The author makes some very good points based on Christian teachings. Nobody knows for sure who makes it to Heaven until they get there but I personally choose to believe that my babies who have passed will be there waiting for me. In the meantime, this book has helped me come to terms with their passing and has brought me peace.

Comforting book for animal lovers.
This is a book written to ease pain after the loss of a pet. I work with a lot of animals and have used several books that I sent to clients. Everyone has commented on this one. It is my go to when clients are grieving the death of a beloved pet.

Wir haben ein ähnliches Buch über Hunde bekommen, als unser Hund gestorben ist, dieses habe ich einer Freundin geschickt und es hat auch ihr gefallen. Man guckt immer mal wieder rein - und es hilft!

This reaffirms my belief that I will see all my passed over cats again. I recommend this book to read who may have doubts that God wouldn't keep our beloved animals safe in heaven as well as we humans.
