The connection was smooth. No issues plugging it in and getting the fast charging speed its says it provides.

I like the charger a lot, I just wish the cord was longer.

Will buy another if needed. Works well with same brand devices.

OK so first of all, this is indeed a genuine name brand Samsung charger, so long as you buy direct from Samsung's store on Amazon. This may seem like an unimportant detail, but it really is when it comes to the preserving the lifespan of your device. In my case, I bought this for my new Samsung s6 lite tablet (15 watts is apparently the max wattage used for this particular model, which was an inordinate obscure bit of information I really had to dig for)...I didn't care to have to buy a charger and then go buy the cable separately, so this was the best package deal, imho. Though the male usbc to male usbc cord is a bit short (3 feet) the charging device works as it ought to and does not overheat the charger or my device. Both the charger and cable feel well-made and sturdy, the ends of the cable are reinforced with a slightly thicker casing so they shouldn't fray or come loose from the connector ends as easily as cheaper cables that sacrifice function for aesthetics. All in all, I'm pleased with this device...it's not flashy or overly expensive, but it suits my needs.

So I bought this charger to replace the original one I had that my cats chewed through after several years. I tried a brand that wasn't Samsung which was not fast as described. This one, however, is perfect. I guess I have learned my lesson and now know to purchase the actual manufacturer charger and cord. I do wish that the cord length was a little longer, but it works for my needs. It does charge fast and you can see how long is left for a full charge on the phone display. Would definitely purchase again if needed.
