Seagate Exos X20 20 TB Internal Hard Drive - 3.5 Inch Hyperscale SATA 6 Gb/s HDD, 7,200 RPM, 2.5M MTBF, 512e and 4Kn FastFormat, Low Latency with Enhanced Caching (ST20000NM007D)

I’m unsure whether to rate the product itself or the seller’s page, given the poor packaging and handling that negatively impacted my experience with the product. What should I do? Seagate Exos are among the most expensive, high-quality drives available in the market. They are also fragile and require careful handling. These drives are masterpieces, capable of delivering the quality you seek in a NAS system. Unfortunately, I ordered two of these drives, both of which arrived in poor packaging with numerous dents. I didn’t realize the extent of the damage until I ran a NAS test, which alerted me to the fact that both HDDs were not reading or writing properly. While creating a pool under Raid 5, the system issued warnings and write errors. I decided to run a performance test, and to my surprise, the test failed due to bad sectors. I haven’t contacted the seller yet, but I plan to do so. I intend to request a replacement or a refund due to the poor condition of the hard drives upon arrival. It’s important that products, especially high-value and sensitive ones like these Seagate Exos drives, are delivered with appropriate packaging to prevent damage.

I bought it to transfer around 12tb of from my NAS so I can perform clear installation, I set it up inside my ubuntu box and start transfer the data through the network and I was expecting it to take long time to transfer the data to it, but the write speed was great on the HDD, the only downside that it is a bit loud but not that you cannot ignore. Now I'm keeping at as backup disk and used it 2 times and to transfer from and to it and happy with the results.

It did not come with SATA cable, be aware.

I bought this for about 1200 AED and its broken. It has beeping problem and its not working. DONT BUY FROM THIS SELLER

HDD drive is dead on arrival

Delivered damaged, not working, without special packaging, only in a plastic bag. a lot of dents on the product.all complaints to the seller

The hard desk are original and worked well after installing them to my Synology NAS server. BUT the scary and unprofessional issue is that the 4 drives i order arrived in a plastic bag instead of a proper cardboard box to protect these fragile expensive items. Each hard desk was wrapped in thin bubble wrap; which is not sufficient to protect them in transit. That’s why i gave the one star. Very poor handling!!!! Update .. After installing the 4 hard desk into my Synology Nas, one of them failed. I had to initiate return with Amazon.

20TBを半分ずつの10TBに分割して、NTFSでフォーマットしたら安定して容量が確保できました。 20TBを丸ごとexFATでフォーマットしたら容量が合わなくなりましたよ。 例えば、NTFSフォーマットで5TBの容量ディスクを丸ごとコピーするとして、exFATでフォーマットしてコピーすると2GB足りませんとなり、半分の10TBに分割したドライブにコピーすると同じ5TBは容量通りとなりました。
