Great for the fingers
Great for the fingers. I have trouble typing, and this really helps develop each finger. It's great that you can adjust each finger individually since I have very little strength in my smallest two fingers on each hand. It also is good for my golf game. I use the medium which works great. I could never have started on the hardest one. I am getting ready to purchase the stiffer one now that I have developed some finger strength.

Needs better ergonomics
This is a good start that is overdue for some updated/overdue refinements. I injured my pinky joint on the first day of using the Varigrip model that doesn't specify resistance. Switched to the X-Light/Light and am cautiously using it. I attribute the injury to straight across design of the individual finger saddles, which I believe puts the pinky finger at a physical disadvantage and the spring resistance was stronger on the pinky finger. Considering the product is titled Varigrip Therapy, I'd like to know if any professionals with expertise in physical therapy were involved in the design and it they signed off 100% on the design or had reservations. In my opinion, the heights of each saddle should be better matched to the shape of a human hand. Obviously, no two hands are going to be identical, but something closer to being a good anatomical match might be helpful I can't imagine that the straight across height is a good idea.

Just what I needed
I got the 5-7 pound model after initially trying a gyroscopic hand strength exerciser, which did not work for me. The VariGrip on the other hand has resulted in a noticeable increase in grip strength in a few days, and I like the fact that it is adjustable to allow me to increase resistance as my grip gets stronger. I did initially overdo it with my weak hand and irritate my Extensor Carpi Radialis Brevis. Taking a break for a few days with that hand until the pain went away fixed that, and I have since started exercising that hand again with a lower rep count. The only thing that isn't quite perfect about my VariGrip is that when I'm using it and exercising all four fingers, there is a weird crunch and some binding that I haven't been able to figure out. When I compress each spring individually the action is completely smooth, but when I use the VariGrip normally and compress all four springs, I experience some additional initial resistance and the crunching sound. Still, I highly recommend the VariGrip. It's adjustable, seems to be quite durable, and unlike some other spring-based hand exercisers, allow you to exercise (or not) individual fingers.

Great as fidget toy
I got this as a fidget toy for myself and it works really well to relieve tension! It’s great since each finger is adjustable and it can be a bit intricate to use if you want it to be.

This turns your hands into vice-grips.
I have the 5-7. Great way to strengthen your grip and give your smallest finger a good work out. We don't fully realize that we use our thrumb and index fingers the most. My grip got stronger after only one week. When i am sitting or watching TV I work out with this thing. Both hands. It comes with a very useful exercise book as well. If you want a better grip for holding a pistol, this works. You want to neck choke someone grabbing at you, your iron grip will render them helpless. Improves grip for grocery bags, holding a knife, and shredding lettuce with your bare hands. When people tell you to "get a grip"... lock onto an ear and say, "you mean like this! You feeling lucky, punk!" It is fun to use. A tough grip also means easier opening of sour kraut jars. Be careful when you shake someone's hands. You could end up breaking some bones...on their hand, not yours.

Works good with a little lube.
Had to add a little lube to get them to move freely, works good, easy to adjust. Good for rehab.

Not strong enough
Purchased for my mom who has trouble with her hands but not strong enough to do any good. Product is fine, just needed to buy one with more resistance
