Best pen I’ve ever purchased
Im a professional with a job requires a lot of writing. I am always on the hunt for a pen that looks nice, is comfortable to use, writes instantly and consistently every time and is affordable (because sometimes they get lost). I have finally found it. I have purchased more expensive that have failed at least one of my criteria. This one hits all three. I have been using it for a couple months now and from the moment I pull it from my pocket to the moment I put it back, it writes beautifully. It has decent heft to it, but not so heavy that it tires your hand during longer writing sessions. The refills are easy to install and lasted about 2 months of daily writing. The only negative I can find is that the ink can bleed through if you pause for too long, but that is common with a rollerball so not a deal breaker.

Beautifully made, writes very lovely, BUT it is a bit back heavy when posted
I just love Parker rollerball pens, and I own the Jotter, IM, and Sonnet (pictured here in silver and gold). They all write very well, and the IM is a nice middle ground that makes a perfect gift. Does it replace my Sonnet? As my everyday writer at home, no, but when I want to have a nice pen to have in my backpack, this is that pen. It exudes quality and the ink flow, at least with Quink Fine Tip, looks great. The only qualms I have is that it can run out a lot quicker than ballpoint pens if you're used to that longevity, and some of the refills from Amazon may not be the best. I'm still figuring out if the Quink "Navigator" refill that's supposed to be "Only for Nepal/India" aren't as good, but I tried a genuine "France" one, and I suppose it's similar if not the same. The only other caveat I have is that this IM Parker is not as well-balanced in the hand as the Sonnet. This is because of two parts. The Sonnet is longer in the body and shorter/lighter in the cap, whereas the IM is the opposite, shorter in the body and longer/heavier in the cap. That means that when you write, you can feel the back-heaviness of the pen when you have the cap poster. I find that I get hand/wrist fatigue faster with the IM than the Sonnet or the nice and light Jotter. So the IM is good for those short usages, but not for writing pages and pages like I sometimes do with the Sonnet. Still, great price especially with all the plethora of sales during the holidays. There are several variations (Premium and Monochrome versions) that I do like and I do wish the Sonnet carry more design variations outside of their super-limited more expensive version.

Elegant writing instrument
You can feel the quality when you use this pen...and the ink flows like a high quality fountain pen. Great value for elegant hand writing. Nice box ... Own one and gave two as gifts. I find black more attractive than other choices.

Pen is good but packaging not so much
The pen itself is great. But the presentation box arrived beat up with a tear in it - likely from hitting up against another item in the Amazon box. I was planning to give this as a Christmas gift but the torn box makes it look like a regift. So I cannot give this as a gift because of the box condition. Better packaging needed.

I am Parker Pens for life!
I was looking for a nice pen for my husband for Christmas since he does office work. I had been looking at nice pens on amazon when I saw Parker. My brother in laws mother worked for Parker pen for many years so I was excited to see that they were still around. Considering the price and the quality of the pen, man what a deal. My husband loves this pen. It has a good weight, it's sleek, and it writes like a dream. This will make an excellent pen for anyone who works in a professional setting. I will continue to purchase Parker pens for as long as they're around (or for as long as I am, whichever comes first).
