Arthur is a family favorite!
My kids (4 and 2) LOVE Arthur! This book was more appropriate for the 4 year old, as it doesn't have pictures and requires her to remember the chapter we read yesterday. The story is cute, consistent with other Arthur stories about friendship.

This is a great, first chapter book, using characters from the popular "Arthur" tv shows. It has only 58 pages , ten short chapters and black and white illustrations. Arthur and Francine are teamed up for a homework project by Mr Ratburn. They had previously had an argument and are not happy at having to work together. Meeting up at the library to write their report, they are so busy arguing that they don't even notice when the building closes and they get locked in. Can they sort out their differences and work together to find a way out? Moving on to chapter books is sometimes daunting for young children, so familiar characters and series books can help to give them confidence. This is a pleasant story and one of a series, so there are plenty to collect.

There’s nothing to like or dislike. The book was acceptable. Made it arrived on time and good condition. It is appropriate for readers who are comfortable with multiple sentences on a page.Good illustrations as I recall. These books are all on a bookshelf now we don’t read them anymore.
