Great scooter!
I bought two of these for my kids for Christmas and I couldn't be more satisfied! They were so happy to see them under the tree and they have barely been off of them since. My 7 year old daughter was already proficient at riding them because her friends have a couple but it was my 4 year old sons first time and he had no problem getting it going to keep up with his sister! This particular model ( The A kick) is Razors classic and sort of "base" model but they are perfect for your little beginners. The build quality is sound and sturdy, fit and finish is very nice and function is right as it should be, simplicity keeping it a classic! I am 6' 3" and 195lbs and I even jump on it from time to time, to get a laugh out of the kids, and this thing doesn't give in a bit! it rolls and performs just as it does with one of my kids on it. Solid frame, forgiving wheels and great bearings make this a great product. The rear fender even acts as a friction brake so when you step down on it contacts the rear wheel and smoothly stops or slows the scooter. The handlebars are fully adjustable and the whole thing folds down at the base of the handle bars making this thing a super small package that can easily fit in a backpack if necessary. Be sure to get the little ones a helmet and maybe some knee and elbow pads because as innocent and un assuming as these things seem, they will trip you up every now and then so be careful and have some fun! I'm pretty sure Razor makes larger and fancier models of this scooter for bigger kids and they would be excellent to keep on a boat, r/v or even the trunk of that not so reliable car in the event you find yourself needing to take to foot! Overall, for this price, this was a great purchase!

Great scooter, great for learning balance! Well made, but due to small wheels works best on smooth concrete surfaces!
I purchased this scooter for my 6 yr old who is moving up from the Razor Jr three wheeled scooter. He is super cautious and not a huge dare devil but wanted one of these as soon as he saw his Sister's older friends had the same one at the skate park. We have had it a few weeks now and he has already learned how to balance on it although he is still a bit cautious. The wheels are very small and hard so it's kind of difficult to go on the sidewalk with it because you literally feel every single bump in the street and if you hit a rock you're likely to go flying sideways... We keep to the smooth surface of the skate park and a concrete walkway at our local park and he loves it! It's easy to fold up but small enough that you don't even need to fold it to put it in the car. I like that they come in different colors so he and his sister can tell which one is theirs. Right now the handle is about half way pulled up, so there is still a good bit of room to grow. I'm 5' 4" and over 150lbs and can easily ride it too, so I know it will last a while... I'm hoping that as soon as he gets comfortable with his balance on the scooter, we can transfer that to riding his bike without training wheels!

This is a great scooter!
This is a great scooter!! My 5 y.o. loved it for her birthday! After a few tries, she can really go on it! She's small for her age, and we live in a mountainous area, so it's not exactly a piece of cake for her to ride anything with wheels. The first time we took it to the park, she wiped out 4 times (!) but was able to roll off in a way that she didn't get hurt. The next time out, she did 10X better! I love it because it's portable and folds up so easily, taking up next to no space in the car. It shipped in a small box, and literally clicked together out of the box. We end up taking it along a lot of places and she gets in extra riding time during otherwise boring events where busting out a big bike would be a little much. It is also so so cute. Much to my dismay, my child is in the thick of a princess phase and she was so happy to get this. My 6'3" husband also rides it and it holds up great! lol! He did some skateboard tricks on it and impressed the neighborhood kindergartners.

The Price is Right. (Now, anyway)
I remember when these scooters hit the market and became 'all the rage' among children and adults alike. Back then it seemed you couldn't touch one for less than $100 or so. That was about three years ago, I think? My son is now six years old, and many of his friends now find themselves in possession of the Razor scooters that were once cherished by their older brothersand sisters. My son happens to be the oldest in our family, so he hasn't the benefit of older siblings from whom he might have inherited a scooter, and thus he was left with the only viable alternative: he requested one for Christmas. And, happily, as the market has been inundated with Razor Scooters, the price has come down. I think it's an excellent value for the $30 we paid. I liked how easy it was to assemble. We needed an allen wrench to attach the handle, but that was all. I like that the handle's height is adjustable, and that the construction, overall, seems sturdy. My son is a big fan of the brake on the back wheel. The only concern I have is that the height-adjustable handle will become loose eventually. Rather than having height levels that lock into place, the handles are held at a given height by pressure inflicted by a squeezing clamp. We've had no trouble with it so far, but it strikes me as being the sort of part that could easily become faulty with too much use. Maybe -- hopefully -- I'll be proven wrong there. Especially since his three younger siblings are hoping to inherit it eventually. ;)

Fantastic little scooter
My daughter enjoys anything and everything that has wheels and can be ridden outside. Our collection of ride-on toys is quite large and she does have an awesome 1970's scooter with big, inflatable wheels, dual brakes, etc. Unfortunately, she does not like to ride it. What she just LOVES to ride on is this little scooter. It's girly, it's cute, it's got a bell, it's got streamers. The streamers, should you be wondering, seem to be attached to a rubber band and can be pulled out without damaging the connection. Even better, the handle height is easily adjustable, the thing can be folded flat for those times when you are out and about and your kid loses interest and you end up carrying the scooter, it rolls nicely, it has a brake, and it is light-weight. The latter, in particular, seems to make riding it very enjoyable for my daughter. It's easy, it's fast. It's also small enough that it can be ridden inside the house. Overall, a great buy.

Great Scooter!
I was very pleased with this Razor scooter when it arrived as a gift for my 6.5 year old grandson. It has an attractive look, shiny and brightly colored, didn't need to be assembled, and is fairly easy to fold and unfold. I don't think I'd want it to be too easy because then it might be loose enough to fall open when being carried. He loves it and was zipping along the street trying it out. I've bought Razor scooters before and they seem to be a great choice and not too heavy for the children to carry.

Outstanding Children's Product!
One of my grandsons had received a green Razor A Kick Scooter for Christmas five years ago. It is still going strong! A few weeks ago his younger brother, now five, wanted one too. I searched for a few days trying to find one, but only found it on Amazon! Amazon delivered as promised, and the grandsons have had a ball with them! These Scooters are almost indestructible! They're great fun! They give the grandkids a break from school work or chores, and they teach the boys how to respect themselves, the product, and the environment around them (with a little help from the grownups, of course). I would recommend the Razor A Kick Scooter to anyone who loves watching children get exercise, learn discipline and respect for self and others, and have tons of fun! It truly is a good teaching tool--and an almost indestructible product!
