I bought this for our new boat. It came with a Garmin head unit but no transducer. After alot of research and YouTube videos, I decided that the GT56 would be my best option. The nice thing with this transducer, is that it fit directly in my Garmin 72SV UHD without needing any adapter cables. The included cable is plenty long for any boat install as well. It's a solid build with everything included to install it nice and clean. The unit itself is pretty long though but that is due to the side scanning ability. Overall, I'm very happy with the unit. It's certainly on the more expensive side, however, it will unlock the potential of your head unit. (so long as it supports the features) The only issue I found is that it loses the bottom when you reach about 35/kmh. This is apparently solved by slightly angling the transducer down a bit. Pros: Side-Vu is amazing Clear and detailed scan images Cons: Expensive sensitive to speed
