It looks solid and really well made, so far working good on my standard 74 beetle, important thing to mention, it comes without oil, make sure to fill it with 140 gear oil when installing.

If you don't paint it, it will rust

I bought back in May to replace a leaking box but I just installed in December. This product will get you killed. I road tested it after installing to adjust the unit to eliminate lose steering. Wow! I could barely get a block and the car would almost dart head on into traffic. You can see the adjustment screw finally bottomed out and the slop in the steering persisted. You can see the ruler showing how much play persisted in the wheel with no more adjustment left in the unit. I took a 25 year old unit out of my dune buggy with "VW" printed on the top and it worked like a champ. This product is defective and should not be sold. I hear these may come from Brazil but they are junk. I couldn't give a lower rating than one. These could lead to injury or death as VW's do not do well in head on collisions.
