This should serve your purpose perfectly. This is not Dead Soft wire as it states, it is Half Hard wire, as most craft wire is. It is not plated but solid copper. It is not coated but bare wire. It should be perfect for your needs in the correct gauge.

Q: Could i make a headband out if it?

Yes, 12 gauge works well for headbands, neckwires and tiaras. Dead soft is the easiest to work, but as you work it, it will stiffen so it will suit the purpose better. If you need to work harden it more, you can opt for the half hard, or harden it after the fact by drawing it through nylon jaw pliers several times, or lightly hammering it. If you are bending it to make the headband, just before finishing it, bend it back and forth gently several times—that will also stiffen the final item so it functions better.

Q: Could this be used to solder?
