Limestone Cleaner

After having our logburner and limestone fireplace for almost 8 years there has been a black discolouration on the mantlepiece top (not the front) that we have been unable for clean for the past couple years, either by vacuum or dusting or even using a bit of water. We decided to give this Glean cleaner a try (a concern as the carved fireplace wasn't exactly inexpensive) - using a bit of neat spray and a soft brush, then wiping away with a damp cloth there was little difference. So we used more cleaner, brush and wiping away & I have to say we were dissapointed. However after leaving for 2 or 3 hours of drying we were surprised that the mantle top almost looked like new and was the same colour as the front. There is just a bit of discolouration at the back, near the wall but it's hardly noticeable. It'll be interesting to see how long it remains clean for now. So we would definitely recommend Glean for a natural limestone light cream fireplace that almost has a semi porous surface that attracts the dirt. We're really happy with the result.

Ii bought this to clean a limestone fireplace, it has helped clean it to some degree but have to say I was expecting a bit more from the product. I wouldn’t buy it again unfortunately

This product is incredible...can't rate it highly enough. Its done a transformative job on our 2nd home in France where other products havent touched it.

I tried to use this to clean up a Bath Stone (oolitic limestone) fireplace. Rubbed it, scrubbed it, second coated it, left it on for a while but no more effect than soap and water. Customer Services very helpful and offered a full refund.

Good stuff, stone hearth looks much better, should have taken a before & after photo!

Tried this on my hearth it had got very dirty and nothing would bring the dirt out This has got it much cleaner it’s sand stone I’m sure if I keep up to it or use it with a brush it may come even cleaner
