What can you do with 1/8" square balsa wood sticks? I used them to create a more stable storage system for my machine embroidery thread! I keep my thread in drawers, organized by color number. In order to prevent the threads from sliding around in the drawer, I used the sticks to create a grid to hold each spool in place, affixing the sticks to the inside of the drawer with double-sided tape. The sticks were easy to work with as I could cut them with a craft blade. The sticks fully met my expectations.

Perfect size for my craft project; and I couldn’t find it locally.

I know it’s balsa wood but it was very, very soft and easy to break.
