Works great. Still learning controls but easy enough to do. Pens do get hot towards the end of handle, but still a good hold a little ways up. I am very happy with it and good price too.

This is my first wood burning kit. It’s ready to set up and use and if you can draw or have nice hand writing you can use this, however, there is a learning curve on how high the temp should be and the amount of pressure you use. Keep the area well ventilated as well.

I bought this in 2022 and have used it occasionally. I just used the other day and when I went to plug it in, the motor part of the burner doesn't turn on? Is it possible to get a new motor only?

Great start up kit

Unit works well as I am a beginner. It certainly has the capabilities of going well beyond the beginner stage. Meaning there is a lot of growth potential in using this unit

I purchased this particular wood burning kit after doing research online for the ratings on wood burning kits. This item was a gift to our oldest son who has become an avid wood carver and was really wanting a top quality wood burning kit. He has been thrilled with every aspect of this kit and is very happy with how easy it is to use. We feel the value for the money was well worth it.

So I have had this for over a year. The thing I am most frustrated with is how stupid short the electrical cord is. Seriously ridiculous. You need to buy (if you don’t already have) a safe industrial (3 prong) extension cord. Next I’m not happy with the level of heat or the transfer of heat (mechanics). When it’s hot enough to wood burn with it’s too smoking hot. Just not safe and ends up over burning the wood. I don’t recommend this for a beginner. In my opinion it’s more challenging and more difficult to learn from. I’m thinking a better quality one (most likely one not sold on amz) will encourage more use and enjoying learning process.

I updated my review from a low rating to a 4-star review; the lack of detailed instructions kept me from being able to understand all of the buttons, and what temperature the dial was set at (though there was a screen displaying what I believe is the expected temperature). I think this is a great set to start with.
