A Terrific Gaming Experience
I've been playing Arkham Horror :TCG with various groups over the last year and have had a blast. The game is fairly complex, but delivers a unique and rewarding session just about every time. It can be very difficult, with some games only coming out a draw at best. The game really opens up with the larger campaigns available. We've played the first two, Dunwich and Carcosa, and they're great. Expect to replay certain scenarios as they can be full-party wipes. Pros: Deep deck-building options, with an experience system to unlock powerful new cards. The setting is Lovecraft 2.0 minus the worst of his legacy and keeping the best of it. The art, presentation, scenario design and constant innovation and novelty from card mechanics, scenario to scenario remain top-notch. It's a great game that gets better the more you play and add to it, but that comes as the cost of content. There's almost a decade worth and it's still going strong. Your wallet may cry.

Perfect Living Card Game
Just got into Arkham Horror and have to say this game in incredible. Older now and busy with 3 kids so it's hard to go to local store to play competitive TCGs. Collecting is also just so expensive now. So was looking for a LCG. Just wanted to be able to play something on my own and with family, that really satisfied my desire for cognitive activity, and was fun. Arkham Horror exceeded my expectations! So happy to have found this game and am excited to continue for many years to come. If you're looking for something similar as I was, buy this game. Great product, beautiful cards, and so much fun.

Satisfying and fun coop game
This is a badass game. The rules can be just a little heavy, but once you get in the swing it's so fun to make your own deck and play with other people. The problem solving and cooperative effort are satisfying, and moving along the story is a lot of fun. Do recommend.

Great game.
I am very late to finding this game. This revised core set is great compared to how I heard they use to package it Really enjoying the game so far and the starting scenarios. Now on my 2nd campaign and ordered Path to Carcosa.

This core box servers as an introduction to the Arkham Horror LCG and it does so very well. The first mini campaign is pretty good and gives a nice feeling for the game in general. Package came a little bit damaged but nothing serious.

It's a great game that gets better the more you play it and understand it's rules and mechanics. This campaign however is relatively short, with only 3 scenarios, the first one being just a small introduction to the game's core mechanics. The story overall is not amazing, it's a straight path to an obvious conclusion. This is punctuated by the lack meaningful decision making story-wise and no branching paths. Nevertheless the game's mechanics does a great job to make it feel a bit more engaging, though in the end it cannot hide the simplicity of the game's story. It is important to remind you that this a core set, meaning that its purchase is required if you intend on getting any other campaign. The replay value of this campaign spawns from it's hard difficulty (challenging even on easy mode), which forces players to retry different party comps as well as different decks styles. This can make for a very engaging and rewarding experience, that gets better and better. You should see this core set more of a teaser/preview of the real game that is offered through the expansion packs. Its's a game for those who like a challenge, and love min-maxing stats and micro managing, in that regard the core set would provide you with hours and hours of fun. If however you are just interest in the campaign/story part of it, you may come out a bit disappointed, feeling that its too little for the price tag. For new players that are starting out with this set my two pieces of advice would be: 1- don't go into it expecting to "Win" every scenario, this will only frustrate you and hinder your experience. 2- Before your first game, do some deck building the starter decks are not great, which makes an already difficult game even harder. I hope this review helps you
