I absolutely LOVE this! I have no idea why I saw some bad reviews so I wanted to come here to set the record straight. You are getting a beautiful, thick, good quality journal with a gorgeous cover and supporting a local business. I’m really happy and I hope there can be more journals with other pretty covers to buy in the future.

This journal is exactly what I needed! I was looking for a larger journal. My personal preference is letter-sized, but this is a good compromise between that and the smaller ones that clutter the search results. I especially love the artwork. The symbolism of eagles and hawks has been showing up for me in meditations recently; this image brings to mind a very beautiful meditation experience I’ve had. It’s a good reminder for me of that experience. Absolutely love it!

I bought these as gifts for a bunch of friends who helped as a group on a project. I got one for each and because I am frugal, didn't want to order one for myself. Well, I have changed my mind. I want one! The name grabbed me initially when I first looked at it and it was bigger, but not overly big. Sheets of paper are way bigger. This would easily fit into a bedside table, back pocket of a car, a reasonably sized handbag or a briefcase. It's pretty...in fact, it is beautiful! Definitely feminine. I think these could easily serve as a guest book for a bedroom. Instead of a tacky Hallmark book that announces GUESTS on it, a pretty book mark and a decent pen devoted to the book would make a perfect side table or dresser accessory for a room not used unless you have visitors. This price? Unbelievable!! A far as I am concerned as quality goes, it's beyond average and rivals the designer journals out there that cost 4-10 times more. (it's on sale now!) It is worth the full MSRP price. So yes, I will buy more, keeping one for my self. And a couple of others to give to friends when the occasion arises. I guess this has been around for a while, and that is why its marked down. No other reason makes sense. I wish PPP would use a domestic factory. Not that people halfway across the world need a job but it gives me a better feeling when I purchase something in a country where people have liberty. It is a big battle so I won't knock a star off for THAT but I wish I could say this product was made in a country who isn't building nuclear missiles to get the USA if needed! I'd pay a little more to have it made in a friendly country.

I was undecided as to which cover to get (Peter Pauper Press is INCREDIBLE!), but I ultimately went with this one because it expresses the elements so beautifully! This journal is what they consider oversized, which is perfect, because most journals are too small for me and I don't end up writing in them on a regular basis...no matter how beautiful they are. This one, though, is the perfect size! It is a quality made journal with a beautiful satin (blue) ribbon to keep your place. It's heavy weight ~ from the the cover, binding, to the very pale cream journal pages that are every so lightly lined (I need LINES to write!). The cover though! There are some spots that are scattered embossed gold (sooooo pretty!), that can catch the light perfectly! They are so light, that the only way I actually saw the gold was when the sun caught it! The artwork is beautiful! I can't say enough about this journal and how pleased I am with it! I will definitely be getting another one (maybe even sooner rather than later, just to make sure I have one on hand, or for another journaling purpose!). I don't think you will be disappointed!

There are good streaks on some of the feathers, the butterflies and some of the leaves that give the picture some very attractive pop. The gold pages are gorgeous. The appearance of the whole book is beautiful. The pages are thicker than the pages in most books. There is a strong piece of ribbon with the perfect color to match the color of the book. The whole book is made very well. It's a good sturdy book that looks great! Definitely money well spent. I could not be any more happy with it than what I am. I love it!

This journal is so beautiful. The image online did not do it justice. The artwork is so vibrate, shiny and beautiful. The pages are very well made and the thick black pens that I’m using did not bleed through the pages nor did the highlights. Highly recommend if you are looking for a keepsake journal.

I love hard cover journals and this one is by far my favorite. The colorful design on the front is beautiful and unique. I find new wonders in the image every time I look at it. The binding is sturdy and there are plenty of pages to write on with the lines spaced in wide-ruled I believe. As said in the description, there is gold foil highlights throughout. The edges of the pages are even lined with the gold foil. The pages are a cream colored and are soft to the touch. I've only ever written in pen in the journal and the pen always writes smoothly and cleanly. I only payed $10.19 - a smashing deal considering the amount of detail put into the journal. Conclusion: I have no cons! Some reviews say the lines are too faint but they aren't to me. I only need guidelines when I write and this journal has amazing detail and beautiful color. Absolutely wonderful. I wish every one of my journals could be this one.
