The silicone isn’t a problem. This is a great aquarium kit!
Excessive silicone in the inside corners of the aquarium as others have mentioned? Yes. But the plants hide them nicely. And at least I know the tank is sealed. I love this aquarium. EASY set up, even for this septuagenarian. The pump and filter are super quiet. The fish are healthy and love it. The water conditioner sample that came with it created healthy tap water. The fish love the sample food packet. I haven’t needed to use the water clarity sample package yet. It’s sleek, beautiful, easy to feed or add water when needed, but… the LED light lid is awkward and cannot easily set it up and stay when you need to lift it to access the tank. It can be done, just takes 3-4 tries. They could have done better with that. Oh… and the b&w instruction packet doesn’t help in all areas and is confusing in places. Use the slick paper color booklet. It’s much more thorough and easier to understand. PS- I learned the pump gets noisy only if you have the water level too high. It needs to be just below the front filter or you’ll overwork the filter

Well made, good size, great filter
We bought this when we needed to upgrade the tank on a carnival goldfish - you know the ones that either live for five seconds or twenty five years. Said goldfish arrived unannounced after an afternoon with the grandparents. Anyway, after looking in store, we were put off by the cost because we could not find a tank that had a powerful enough filter that was also in the size we were wanting. We found this one and took a chance, because shipping a glass tank seemed sketchy, but it turned out great! The tank and box both arrived in good condition, the seams on the tank are well sealed, the top fits nicely, and all in all we were pleased with the quality and look. It is a true 10 gallon, so now concerns there, and the filter has done a great job of keeping the water clear, clean, and safe for the fish. The heater is a nice addition and an often overlooked item for fresh water fish, so having it included was a bonus, although, its suction cups don't hold super well. We have had to re-set it once since we bought it just over a month ago. The filter can sound buzzy if you don't have the filter latched on just right, but it is as simple as a gentle tap. As you can see, it fit the large bubbler ship nicely, with enough room for some low artificial plants and seashells. We opted for the sand (which needed rinsed MANY times) and it hasn't been an issue at all for the filter or the sand, meaning the filter doesn't seemed overly worked by the organic material and the water output doesn't disturb the sand. Solid buy for us.

Nice kit for the money, loud filter
This is a nice little kit for the money. I've only had it set up for about an hour at this point, so I suppose it could still fail, but I think it will be fine. However, the filter is LOUD. I'm not sure if I got a dud or if the people who are saying it's quiet have never had fish before. I used to have a much larger tank and went through several filters and none of them were anywhere near as loud as this thing. I will, unfortunately, have to replace it, making this less of a deal, but it is what it is. Coming back to update my review a few weeks later because the filter did get quieter. Not sure why it was so loud or why it stopped being so loud, but it did!

KILLED MY FISH
PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS IT KILLED MY FISH!! the tank itself is okay so a lot of glue. The lid is really flimsy which I like because it’s easy to take off and has lights. The lights work but aren’t super strong so not great for heavily plated tanks. The heater is garbage you’ll have to get a new one AND THE FILTER KILLED MY FISH!!! IT IS WAY TOO STRONG FOR A BETTA IT PUSHED HIM AROUND AND MADE IT HARD FOR HIM TO SWIM THEN I CAME HOME FROM WORK HE WAS MISSING AND I LOOKED INSIDE THE FILTER AND HE WAS SHREDDED INTO PIECES!!!!!! DONT BUY THIS KIT IT IS A WASTE OF MONEY YOULL HAVE TO REPLACE EVERYTHING WITH PROPER VERSIONS

Convenient Set-up-in-a-box
Everything you need to get a 10 gallon aquarium going. Good quiet filter, bright LED hood lights. Efficient and sleek design. The best part? Arrived in one piece and did not leak. Love this aquarium!

Better off buying parts piece by piece elsewhere.
I’ve bought this before so was optimistic but i was not satisfied with this purchase. The heater is only keeping my tank at about 74 consistently (too cold for even basic tetras to thrive). And the filter light was flashing after only one week so I’m replacing with a sponge filter instead. So I really paid all that $ for a net and tank that I could have got for $25 at the pet store.
