Regular Strength 5-hour ENERGY Shots

I can't touch a Monster, it's so big. I can't even stand the smell of a RedBull anywhere near me. My son was kind enough to tell me about his experience w/ 5 Hour Energy and I'm glad he did. I've been buying them now for about 4 years. I never pay more than this, it is equal in price to the ones I buy by the 10-pack at Walmart. I feel like it wakes me up physically and mentally, yet, if I choose to sleep, I can close my eyes and do just that. I may only have one in a week and then the next week have 4 or 5. It just depends on my schedule and how much sleep I get. Before I have one though I consider: am I dehydrated, am I experiencing a sugar low, would a cool breeze or a few minutes off my feet invigorate me. There are other ways to feel eneergized. Some friends said it makes them jittery. Maybe they just use too much. I'm a big girl and I only take about half of one. Only after a few hours I might finish the bottle. Part of the reason I purchased initially was that they were so small I could think of them as medicine and hold my nose and drink it but that has since changed. Berry is not my favorite flavor but it is #2. I really love the pink lemonade. If you like the effect but not the taste, try more flavors.

I love this stuff but like the grape best. I don't drink the entire or even half a bottle at a time, just a sip and that is enough to give me the amount of energy I want and need plus it curves my appetite. Just bought a box of 2 12-packs from Sams in Pomegranate. That should last me a while. The price was right and figured the way things are going, everything you buy will soon be $100. Have you noticed the price of food nowadays? Ridiculous but that is another story. Thanks.

I am not usually one to say how great sports drinks, energy drinks, or other related items are, but 5 Hour is awesome! I really have no complaints. Usually a half of a bottle is all I need to keep me alert, which is great since I don't like taking stuff like this all of the time. But when I need, it works perfect. It doesn't make me hyper, just makes me more alert. I have over 3 hours of commuting every day and since I cannot drink coffee (hate it so much), I don't really have many other options. Also, personally, Pomegranate is my favorite flavor. Berry is okay, but I don't like the others.

I resisted 5-Hour Energy for a very, very long time. I just didn't like the idea of it. Then, earlier this year, a friend gave me one when I needed to be on somewhat late at night, but I was obviously dragging. I was very impressed with the product. I did not have any sensation of being wired or jittery. There was a brief, warm sensation that concerned me at first, but that faded fairly quickly (and actually was pleasant for the moment). After that, I just wasn't tired. There was no appreciable feeling at all. A cup of coffee gives more of a buzz. After a few hours, the stuff started to wear off, which was fine because I was all done with what I needed to do. I slept well that night. That's been the case for all but one occassion: the time I took two of these things a few hours apart. That night was miserable. I was restless and sweating all night and barely slept. I'd say I overdosed on it, so I caution everyone about thinking "if a little is good, then a lot is better." I do keep a couple in the car and in my travel bag.

The prices vary over time, so you can't just buy-again without checking the price every time, but it's the standard energy shot - can't go wrong.

Five hour energy is my go to product when I need to stay awake and alert on overnight shifts or on long drives. It is probably more affective on me then on persons who regularly take caffeine into their system. Because I don’t drink coffee or other caffeinated beverages With any regularity, when I do get a dose of caffeine it really helps me to overcome fatigue. I do not find that this product leaves me with a “crash” after taking it. I have been using this product for years, though I probably only use it once or twice a month. I have never taken more than one of these in a 24 hour period. As with any other energy drinks or products like this, I would not recommend consumption by teenagers.

We use this almost every time we drive any distance. Works great. As soon as we feel a little tired, we pop a 5-Hour Energy and it gives you a boost of energy--no jitters, just a nice boost for a few hours.
