Maximum Memory:The original iMac running DDR2-667Mhz memory has a system maximum of 2GB to 6GB, depending on model. The original iMac, running the Intel Core Duo processor, has a 2GB max. The 1.83Ghz Core 2 Duo also has a 2GB maximum, all other early models, running the Intel Core 2 Duo, have a 4GB max, and the late versions, (Mid 2007, Model ID 7,1) have a 6GB max.
