(UPDATED) 12/17/22: Review of the Sennheiser HD 450BT (Special Edition) COMFORT The only thing I was worried about was comfort as some of the reviewers complained about the fit being too tight and or runs hot, which I found not the case for me. SOUND The sound was well balanced (lows, mids, highs) out of the box, even though the built-in Smart Control app controls the equalizer, which has presets for genres and is customizable to some degree. The bass (lows) are actually adjustable slightly in the Smart Control equalizer and iPhone settings, so the bass (lows) are better than expected. BUILD QUALITY The build quality thus far is good and better than expected. ACTIVE NOISE CANCELLATION The ANC (active noise cancellation) is average at best, but does appear to reduce the outside noise by approximately 35%. BLUETOOTH WIRELESS and WIRED CONNECTIVITY The Bluetooth codecs will be more than enough to please the casual audio listener and on any device. Since these headphones also have wired cable connectivity (better than Bluetooth, playing lossless uncompressed audio), these headphones are all that is needed. The one odd, whether you take it as good or bad, is the audio cable connector is keyed. This provides a locking type of connection so that the cable does not wiggle or loosen easily. Connecting the cable takes getting used to, but works well. SMART CONTROL APP The Smart Control app has limited functionality. It is too bad you can't control the functions in the app that the physical buttons provide. AMAZON ALEXA The SE (special edition) version includes Amazon Alexa, if that is important to you, but other than this, both models are identical. I didn't need Alex, but the SE was quite a bit cheaper during one of the Black Friday or Cyber Monday deals for $75.00. CHARGING I do not believe these are considered fast charging as it took 2 or more hours to fully charge. RECOMMENDATION I would recommend these headphones at any price range whether at retail or reduced, because of the sound and build quality as well as the other numerous features it offers.

I don't want to ding the star rating for these because they are AWESOME for their price point, but these are a few NEED TO KNOWS: 1. They have small standard ear cups. I have small-average ears, and a big head for hats/headphones. I think these are very comfortable, but that's because I don't have big ears! You would definitely want to upgrade the ear padding to a larger size if you have large ears. 2. The "active noise cancelling" is FAR from perfect. But it's good for the price point! If the ear pads fit (again, sizing important from part 1), then I'd say it cancels enough sound to be totally worth it! I overnight ordered these for surprise roof construction where I work. That being said, if this is the most important feature for you, and you want truly great ANC, then spend a little more for a better pair. Again, I think for this price I am plenty happy. 3. Head size/head band comfort - I have a big head, need large/custom hats, and I find these to be perfectly comfortable, and don't put too much pressure on my head. The padding is doing its job! So far after two full days of wear, I haven't had any pain and the weight is great for long days of work. I also like that the ear cups tilt in both directions - human heads are not flat! 4. Sound quality - I am very sound sensitive, enough to have dipped my toes in audiophile-learning to understand what sounds I do and don't like, and I think the other reviews that claim they are pretty "flat" is correct! I often have to turn down "high" sounds on headphones, and these were fairly perfect out of box for me. If you're a big bass fan, you'll need to fuss with the settings, but I haven't looked into it specifically. I really like these! I think it's smart to get a hard protective case for them, but it's awesome that they fold up - they fit in my work purse when folded!

The Headphones is Almost perfect, Great quality & Sound , with the Application you can adjust the sound as you prefer. You can close the Active noise cancellation as well with the buttons . The only downside is that it will warm up your ears. The Bass is decent but not boomy.

I was looking to buy a noise-cancelling, wireless heaphone which enabled me to attend my work calls, listen to music and watch videos every now and then. After researching for a bit, I zeroed in on this piece of beauty. Here's my user experience having used it for over 3 weeks now. 1. The sound quality is 9/10. The output is well balanced as per my liking. 2. Noise-cancellation works really well. It doesn't block out the entire outside noise but does a great job cancelling out the ambient noise in my room, especially the AC humming. I would rate this 9/10! 3. The microphone quality is pretty good for calls. The speech as well as any musical instrument sound is transmitted pretty well. I would rate it 8/10! 4. The battery life is brilliant. This headphone stays connected to the laptop or my phone for 12-14 hours a day. A full charge easily lasts me 3-4 days of functioning before it needs to be recharged. I would rate it 9.5/10! 5. The Bluetooth connectivity is amazing. I could easily move around in my house to the rooms where the WiFi signal struggles to reach, but this headphone stays connected without a drop in the connectivity. I would rate this 9.5/10! 6. Lastly, the build quality is quite good. The cushioning of the band above the head is just about right. While, the cushioning of the earmuffs are perfect! They neatly cover my earlobes and doesn't cause too much discomfort when wearing them for long hours. The clamping force is not too tight. The only time I had to move them was to wipe off sweat. In summary, I would recommend this headphone to whoever is looking to buy a noise-cancelling, wireless headphone in under 10k budget. There are other brands available with similar products, but I tend to gravitate towards Sennheisers as this is my 4th Sennheiser product and they usually last quite long, depending on how you use it.
