My dog is a Labrador who finds ways to slip his lead. The clasp on his previous lead became worn and he found a way to twist the clasp in such a way as to free himself from it. This One is new and he cannot break free. It also matches his collar and it is at least a foot longer than the previous lead.

If you’re looking for a reliable and affordable leash you are in the right place. We as pet owners know how expensive pet supplies can get, especially supplies that don’t work. I’m a full time college student that works part time. I have a dog named Cody. He is a basset hound mix with a Labrador. He is 40 pounds and long. He’s also a nut case and acts cuckoo when he goes outside. He likes to pull me and gets overly excited when he sees random people. I got tired of him pulling me and wanted to find a sturdy leash to be able to handle him. So, I purchased a couple leashes from PetsSmart. I brought the Top Paw Nylon Dog Leash and The Pendleton Hiker Dog Leash. The Top Paw leash lasted a week tops. I paid $20 for it. Cody was still pulling me and even got away from me after the leash popped. I then purchased the Pendleton Hiker Dog Leash which cost $59 and I thought maybe this will be a hefty duty one since it's for mountain hiking and was so expensive but I thought wrong, the leash began to tear after a few walks. I can't afford to waste money on pet products that will fall apart in a week. Leashes can range from $5 to $50 for just one. I have spent over $80 on leashes that weren't of good quality, a waste right? So I searched for a durable & sturdy leash that lasts and I discovered this leash 4 months ago here on Amazon and it has lasted longer than any leash I have ever purchased. The leash cost $9.99 and was worth every penny. This leash has been able to handle him when he pulls or tries to run from me. There is little to no tangle when using this leash. The handle has a smooth comfortable texture. There is a small clip near the handle, like all leashes where you can attach various items. The metal is heavy duty and doesn’t rust when wet from rain & snow. The color is vibrant and true to what’s being advertised. The material retains color without wear or tear, again it’s been over 4 months. The only two critiques I have is that this doesn't come with a pooper holder, that could be handy. I know I often forget to grab a poop bag when I go out for walks and I have to go grab one and remember where he just went to the bathroom. Another thing is my dog thinks it’s a chew toy. The squishy handle can easily be mistaken as a toy to our dogs, but it's our job to monitor the crazy doggies right? So just keep it up and don’t allow the dog to eat on it. Other than that the leash is perfect. It feels great not having to replace this leash so soon.

After searching Amazon for dog leashes, I decided to give the Petmegoo dog leash a try and I am very pleased with my purchase, here's why. I went with the black leash, it looks sharp plus it won't show the dirt as bad with frequent use. The length of the leash seems to be just about right as I was tired of wrapping my dogs old leash around my hand to take up the slack. My dog now has some leeway to maneuver but otherwise stays close with this length of leash. Comfortable padded grip for the human and lightweight yet strong leash for the pup. The grip material seems to be heavy duty and should give a good lifetime of service. The reflective strands in the leash are a nice touch as well and I could see where this might help with other people or drivers noticing you at night or possibly aid in finding your dog if it were to slip away. Fit and finish is very nice overall. The clasp is finished well and has a secure spring closure that leaves you feeling confident that it won't open by itself. The loops for the handle and clasp are finished with a rubber covers at the splices. The Petmegoo Dog Leash is a well made, stylish dog leash at an affordable price.
