Purina Pro Plan Active - High Protein 27/17 Dry Dog Food

We have this food on subscribe and save auto deliveries! We have found this food to be great for our dogs. Our dogs do not have any issues eating this food, no stomach issues or bathrooming issues at all! We like the subscribe and save option since we know this is good for our dogs and we will be purchasing more and more!

Good food and quick delivery

I have two dogs and both of them eat this mixed in with homemade chicken and like it!

I have two Springer spaniels. They both do well with this food. They have skin and fur issues if they eat other dry dog food.

I have fed my 10-year-old border collie mix lots of highly-rated dog foods over the years. Now some of my go-to and grain free foods have been implicated in canine heart disease, so I checked out the Purina foods again. I read somewhere that Purina has done more testing than most brands. I chose the Purina Pro Plan Sport formula 27/17 (percent protein/fat) that has no corn, wheat or soy. It does have some barley and oats. My dog loves the food; there is no fishy odor which I hate; her stools are nice and firm; her coat and energy level are superb. Only complaint: I wish they would make a smaller bag! I am older and smallish with a bad back and don't like having to drag the 33# bag into the house. Also, the food might get stale by the time we get through the big bag which takes several weeks.

I’ve been using ProPlan brand since it was a vet only food some 30 years ago. All my dogs have been on it since and they have so many different kinds it’s easy to find one that works as your dogs Health changes.

Great for active dogs - high protein without too much fiber.

Great food - can't really comment on the flavor though.

My dogs love this food! Have no digestion issues, smooth shiny coats. It’s a winner!!

Good coality product

This brand used to be in the 50's plus tax. Now it is 82$. We are still buying it because we believe it is the best option for our needs. We look for good quality food to help our doberman maintain a healthier life. While allowing us to have a sustainable source of food. We feed him a mix of this dry food along with raw meat.

pro plan is famous for its quality. but amazon ships it in a huge cardboard box which seems wasteful. i'm always make sure to recycle it.

I have to say not only is it a good value for money spent but the quality of the food seems amazing. My 3 y/o dobie has been turned off of her food lately and someone recommended this brand so I gave it a try. I’m very happy that it has glucosamine in it already because I won’t have to buy separate vitamins to add into her food. All around great she did a taste test as soon as we got it and she absolutely adored this food! So happy I’ve been trying quite a few thank you!
