SPANX Shapewear for Women Thinstincts Open-Bust Mid-Thigh Bodysuit (Regular and Plus Sizes)

I purchased XS for my petite, 5'4", 100 lb daughter to wear under an interview dress (instead of underwear and a traditional slip). Her dress tended to show panty lines and be more body revealing than wanted. The thinstincts bodysuit was light, seamlessly smooth and conformed nicely to her body without binding or maXSking her hot. The mid-thigh length was also just the right length (being a few inches above her hemline). Overall it helped to make the dress more professionally appropriate. Furthermore I was pleasantly surprised how the body-suit's arm-straps smoothed out the bra line under her arms and around her ribcage. Another unexpected benefit was that it held her bra straps more securely in place- no annoying straps falling off of her shoulders. I wasn't sure if I would like the open-bust design, but it turned out to be a blessing that my daughter could wear her own bra. In all, I am very happy with this purchase. It seemed expensive at the time, but was well worth it in the end.

For the last 10+ years I have stayed away from spanx products as I remember them being bulky and tight, reminding me of a binding feeling corset like in the old movies. I discontinued use since I was told it was unhealthy to have that going on all day. This product is comfortably thin and does not have discomfort. I don't feel my inner organs are getting squished like they used to with older spanx products. Mindful of the previous reviews indicating the fabric tore easily, I was careful to put it on, which seemed wise, and worked fine. If you do that, you won't tear it. And If you are anywhere near the "edge" of the size chart, then definitely size UP to a larger size. You can't squeeze into these things successfully if they are too tight, but they will comfortably smooth out the waist, hips, and bottom bra line area, which is the whole idea of this product. They do make a worthwhile difference. Would have preferred slightly more cost effective, so I only got one each of beige and black. Will likely hand soak and rinse after wearing in order to preserve the newness and protect the fabric in the wash, or put them in a mesh laundry bag and only use delicate cycle.

I’ve worn this many times now under slinky dresses, it fits like ‘second skin’ and aligns everything on your bod. You neither feel nor see it - wow!

Spanx saved me for my son's wedding. There was a bit of a struggle getting it on, but once it was in place, I could see that it was going to work out perfectly! I had an evening gown that was very form-fitting. I was worried that I wouldn't have a smooth look while walking down a 300+ foot aisle with lots of eyes gazing at me. I loved this open-bust wear because I could wear my own comfortable bra and it offered just the support I needed from just under my bra line, all the way down to my knees. I'm so happy there is an opening for going to the potty, if you know what I mean! I never felt hot or sticky on a warm 75 degree day and many guests gave me nice complements on my sleek look! The price is very reasonable compared to other long undergarments. I would surely purchase this again.

I bought this for my wedding. I got it in a size 3x, but then ended up losing some weight which put me at between a 2 and a 3. I kept my original size, though, as I liked the slightly looser fit-- it was very comfortable but it still held my tummy more or less in place. Well, I wore it for the first time the night of the rehearsal dinner. It was wonderfully comfortable until I had to pee. As soon as I sat down to use the toilet, RIIIIIP, the gusset tore right up the butt. The gusset was put there for ease of peeing and it ended up completely destroying this brand new, $100 shapewear that I was hoping to wear for a while yet. I ended up having to wear much older and cheaper shapewear for my wedding, which was very disappointing. 1/5 for this product, might be higher if you're a superhuman who doesn't ever need to pee. Ugh.

I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect shapewear & had high hopes for this bodysuit. I used the sizing guide & ordered a Large because I didn’t want to feel too restricted, and I didn’t want to see a visible line around my thighs where the shorts end. I was hoping for the right amount of comfortable compression. (I’m 5’7” with a relatively flat stomach and ample behind) Unfortunately it was too big & the fabric was too thin to offer much more than a bit of smoothing. I still saw some lumps around my lower stomach because it didn’t fit closely enough to my body. I considered buying it in medium, but the thin fabric & leg openings didn’t convince me that it would be the right piece for me, even in the smaller size.

This is a great product. The item fit snug but I guess I was expecting it to REALLY SUCK ME IN. I just had a baby and wanted to look like I did pre baby and honestly it didn't give me a Gisele figure, but it did smooth me out and keep me proportional. I got a size small and I think if I got a size that was too small, the fat has to go somewhere so I would assume it would give me back fat or knee fat haha. I am a pretty average size girl and only 5'4" so the only thing that I would warn is that if you like wearing shorter dresses, and you are my height, these will probably be too long on your legs.

Is this product a true shaper? The answer is NO. I doesn’t have a lot of support. However, if you are looking to mainly make your body lines smoother while wearing tight dress, then this product is your friend. I like that it feels light, and not many seams only on the back which most of the time comes at the zipper line of the dress. I also like that shorts aren’t finished with any type of hamming, so it doesn’t show. However, what works for me may not work for all, as it doesn’t have a lot of support, nor does it have a tape at the bottom to keep it in place. So if they don’t fit they may roll up. Finally, I like that it works well with my bra. I’ve tried this product with various tight dresses and for me it seems to do the trick, it removed panty lines and smooths some of the lines that I usually feel self conscious about. So for me it’s a keeper and I am getting nude colored shaper as well.

Great bodysuit, keeps all trouble areas under control. However, I needed to order a size down. Size 10 (M) is rather loose for my regular 8/10 UK. Regardless, I decided to keep the item--for days when the weight tips the scale.

Comfortable and sleek. Fit very well.

Temevo per la taglia date le recensioni, ma seguendo le tagli indicate non ci sono stati problemi e se lo si ordina della taglia giusta il materiale regge benissimo e l'effetto è garantito.

Ich trage Kleidergröße 42/44 und habe den Bodysuit in L bestellt. Er sitzt super und formt wie erwartet. Insgesamt ist er sehr bequem und man merkt ihn kaum. Etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig wird es, wenn man mal zur Toilette muss, aber mit ein bisschen Ausprobieren bekommt man es hin, ohne sich komplett auszuziehen oder nass zu machen :-)
