My cricut maker won't accept in "b" holder on "cut mode" as directions state; says it's not recognized. what are the settings to make it work?

In my experience, make sure it is in the holder just right, and I changed the material to something more heavy duty. In general I have trouble with my maker recognizing the blade so I turn off the machine and then turn back on. It works most of the time.

Will it engrave glass

It can just start with a low pressure as glass can shatter easily.

Does this work on wood?

I would choose the Chomas Creations engraving tip to use on wood as the precision tip may tear. Your wood does have to be thin enough to fit under the rollers in your machine as well.
