I work with higher functioning autistics. This book is helping me guide lessons, discussions, and activities to help my students recognize emotions in themselves and others. This is a tough topic to teach, and I think this book does a good job and touching on what empathy is and how to develop it.

I teach a social skills class for special ed students. Empathy is a dificult concept for some of them. The activities in this book help them understand without me repeating the same things over and over. The lessons are not long and drawn out so they keep their attention.
