I ordered this item because it was the kettle I was looking for to make coffee (pour overs, French press) and it was at a good price. The copper one looked cool in the picture, so that's the version I chose. When it arrived, I was impressed with the kettle as well as the packaging. It looks so great! Certainly it appears like I spent much more money on it. And it works really well. It warms water quickly and the thermometer is built-in, easy to read, and accurate. Great item. The company reached out to me and asked me if I was pleased, and I responded with a yes - except - the face of the thermometer was a bit scuffed up from shipping (it wasn't protected with a plastic film). I could still read the temperature, but it's the only constructive criticism I had for them. They apologized and immediately sent a replacement, even though I didn't ask for one. So, this company not only produces an excellent product for coffee lovers, but they are driven to serve customers with excellence. I'm very happy I made this purchase and expect to use my kettle(s) for a long time. :)

1. This kettle looks so beautiful on my stove I leave it there when I'm not using it rather than hiding it in the cupboards. 2. The thermometer on the kettle makes it so easy to see how hot/close to boiling the water is. 3. Precise performance. The spout on this kettle pours precisely and won't splash when boiling unlike other kettles I've used that will spill if you're not extremely careful. 4. Solid craftsmanship, 5 cup capacity.

Unfortunately mine came scratched in multiple places. Black marks on the side and handle that are clearly visible. Also the top of the thermometer was crooked and sits funny on the kettle.

This is a good pour over set for the price. The aesthetic and built-it thermometer are nice touches. We used it almost daily for 2.5 years. Here’s how it held up over that time: About 6 months in, the copper-colored coating on the kettle began to wear off. It still did its job, so I didn’t mind terribly. Around that time the cover of the thermometer gage cracked. It was never dropped, so I can only assume it couldn’t take the heat. That said the thermometer itself continues to work like a charm—I just wish the plastic cover had been made from the same strong glass as the coffee pot. 2 years in, the pour-over funnel showed signs of corrosion. Couldn’t tell if it was rust but didn’t want to take the risk—threw it away. Now 2.5 years in, the bottom of the kettle leaks. The glass pot, lid, and gasket remain in like-new condition. We got almost-daily use out of this set. Currently shopping for a better-made replacement so we won’t need to replace it so soon and to cut down on waste. A non-electric kettle could last a lifetime if well made.
