Renegade 12.5" FBM, Conv/Single Post RFBMB-0/3 Gloves, Left Hand Throw, Black, Baseball Pitcher Glove

Bought this as birthday gift for my 10y nephew! He loves it! Definitely already had the “broken in” feel and was easy to start using immediately! Perfect for his 10y hand! great quality! Fit perfectly! Closes easily and comfortably for him! It, without a doubt, functions as it should!

Second time I have purchased a Renegade, LHT 1st base glove for my 13yr old son. He lost his first one after having it for a little over a year. Loved it so much that we got the same exact glove. Broke in very quickly. That's usually a sign that the glove will not last many years but that's ok. This specific Renegade was a little different than his other in that this one has a small cutout where the palm hinge is. I personally dont like the way it makes the glove close however my son loves it. I took a star off for that hinge. Even though he loves it, that hinge is not for everyone. I dont like that a glove forces you to close it the way they design it and the hinge almost makes that happen. Again, you cant beat the price. I would have paid $100 for this glove. He plays competitive travel ball and can easily take 70+ mph across the diamond and it doesnt hurt his hand so dont think this is only a little league glove. Update Aug 2021. We've had the glove for about a year and a half now and it has gotten extremely floppy. I had said that I was concerned with this "newer" model with the hinge in the corner and sure enough, this is a much different glove than the same model without the hinge. The hinge does make it easier to close however you are forced to close it a very specific way which some may not like. Now after 18 months, the glove has gotten too floppy to take some scoops and now you have to catch it in the pocket with very little room for error due to the floppy end. Again you get what you pay for. He is NOT an every day 1st baseman so with limited action, I definitely thought we would get more than 18 months before having to purchase a new glove. Still recommend for younger kids but not for 13+ who will use it a lot.
