Quick and easy upgrade that massively improved the brakes on my e-bike
This was a really easy and really great upgrade for my bike. The original brakes were purely mechanical and really didn't work that well - the bike stopped but not super quickly. I kept adjusting them but I could never get the braking system work well. I bought these and swapped them in and it was just a 15 minute job to take the old one out and put the new one one in, line up the brakes and tighten everything down and the new new brakes work so much better than the old ones ever did - stopping works much better and I also have a lot more confidence in the braking system. I thought it was a more than reasonable price for such a substantial upgrade and thought it was pretty good value for money. But more than anything I was amazed with how quickly I was able to install them and how much better they work than the old ones. For what it's worth they also look better - the design with the red and black just looks nicer.

Not a full hydraulic system, but...
A hybrid of the two. An upgrade for my X50, night and day difference. Old setup I could never quite get the squeaking to stop on the front rotor. No matter how many times I tried adjusting it would always squeak. Stopping power was adequate. Installed the HB 100 and took a quick ride and immediately noticed no squeaking, stopping power with the same pull of the lever from mechanical to hydraulic big difference. Clamping force on both side vs one. Made the tires actually skid to a stop. Happy with purchase. Pros: you don't have to worry about any features that may be attached to your brake levers such as a cut off switch. Pretty much plug and play after installation. Cheaper than a full hydraulic system and you don't have to worry about snaking the brake lines through your bike for that clean look that is already there. Cons: only saw one to be honest the brake cable sleeve on the back was just a bit to short for the new brakes even when sitting the adjustment screw to the maximum hight. Luckily Jansno left a little slack inside the frame of the bike. Just pulled a little sleeve out from the upper tube to make it work.

Beautiful red anodized aluminum. Work very well!
Install them properly, cap the wires and check tension. You can do this on your own! I did. Im not a e-bike technician. However, a couple days later I did stop by my local bike shop and kindly asked for a look and adjustment. Now we are riding free and easy with mostly hydraulic brakes. Now I will see how long to keep them, not sure. In about a year I plan to upgrade to full hydraulic, not HB-150 brake cable line pull. It's a definite upgrade over the standard mechanical. Price is great 👍 for what you get. No instructions are included, no matter. You Tube has lots of install directions online. Really very easy to swap out. This type of hydraulic disc brakes really chew through brake pads easily and quickly. Maybe pick up 2 or 3 proper fitting brake pad sets so you are ready when that time comes.

Great bang for your buck upgrade
This is the best upgrade I have done on my e-bike. The mechanical disk brakes that came on it were okay but these are better in every way. They have much more stopping power, they are much quieter, and the make the lever pull feel much better. They took less than 10 minutes to install using the original hardware but they come with hardware as well. Highly recommend for a great budget option.

Plug and Play with GoTrax Raptor Scooter
I was initially skeptical since they are not TRP brand, but they are HB, and it made a night and day difference! Installing was pretty easy, as the parts fit right in. I will update the review in 2-3 weeks to confirm durability, but we are off to a good start so far. 2 month update- not using these anymore as the cylinder alignment is off and does not seem adjustable. As a result the pads wear out unevenly and need replacing every 2-3 weeks since I installed them. Ordered new TRP brand for durability.

These Are Great
This is such a vast improvement over the brakes that came with the bike (Colorway BK29M). Braking distance is greatly improved, and they were very easy to install. No issues at all.

BRAKES FAILED IN ONLY 3wks !!! / BADLY INJURED DUE TO BRAKE FAILURE !!!!
I adjusted the brakes, and they were working ok ... As I was going to the store I hit the brakes and again they failed . I had to either ditch the bike or die .. I ditch the bike and still got hit by a car. I'm in the hospital now and waiting on my attorney to come visit me. "DONT BUY THESE BRAKES THEY WILL FAIL AND YOU'LL END UP HOSPITALIZED" After three weeks use ... Well it's been around three weeks now since I ordered and installed these zoom HB 100 brake calipers and now the brakes both front and rear no longer work. I was riding today and almost got hit by a car because these breaks failed . I was pulling the levers with everything to stop the bike and got nothing to stop my bike. I luckily was able to stop my bike with my feet but tore up my shoe int he process ... I very lucky I missed two cars and then stopped. I got off my bike and noticed that the rear caliper cable arm was broken and couldn't be fixed ... And the front brake I noticed that the piston was extended all the way out and it still wasn't braking at all... So I tried to fix the rear caliper by taking the front one off and putting it in the rear.. I noticed that the piston wasn't working at all and was seived up and wouldn't move.. I compared it to the original rear caliper and it two had it's piston siezed up... I don't know wtf happened these brakes worked so well then now they won't work or stop at all. There's still plenty of pad left on both pads ... These are very dangerous brake calipers that failed me in just three weeks .. I want answers to why this happened and I almost got killed because of these brakes ... First Review ... Replaced the factory Tektro calipers for these. And so far I'm super happy. They were easy to install. They look good and most importantly they stop very well.. Better than the crap Tektro calipers that came factory on bike...

better than stock. . .easy install.
Put them on a E-bycco 29 inch 17ah ebike. . .front and rear. 160mm rotors front and back. They are front and back specific and that is denoted on the calipers themselves. One caliper does 140 to 160mm . . . .. And the other caliper does 160 to 180mm .. . Notice they both do 160mm The squeaking went down and the performance went up.. . .Install was easy.
