My Arcade Street Fighter 2 Champion Edition Video Game: Mini Arcade Machine, Arcade Version

As a longtime MAME enthusiast and custom arcade cabinet modder and builder, I was pleasantly surprised with the My Arcade Data East Hits Micro Player with 308 games. The games are all playable, it has a usb-c port for power without batteries, using four AA batteries lasts a LONG time, it has volume buttons and a headphone jack. It's also tough. We got this three years ago for our at the time four-year-old and it's withstood dropping and rough use (he did peel off the marquee sticker at some point). The packaging is very nice and if you are purchasing as a collectable and want to keep it NIB, it will look nice on your shelf with rest of your sadly non-played My Arcade units. The game selection isn't an all-star lineup of arcade greats, with a lot of weird titles mixed in, but it was interesting to play games I've never seen and my kids didn't care if they were big in the 80's or not. Pro-tip: To power on the arcade, PUSH IN the little fake coin insert box below the control panel. You may want to also apply a tiny bit of Loctite to the joystick screw or just take it off...or superglue it in, if you really want it to stay. Due to size, I found some of the games more playable without the joystick and just using the D-Pad, but YMMV. At $30, it's well worth the price for potentially thousands of hours of gameplay for gamers young and old.

My arcade is making some of the best retro gaming systems out especially this one I keep this one on my coffee table and it gets played Non-Stop exactly like when you played it as a youth

Awesome little arcade. Good quality LCD and controls. Arcade rom. Definitely recommend but has some issues... However, to the nitpicky collector types like myself... the color sequence on the buttons are incorrect compared to the original arcade, which is a minimal issue only observed by the obsessive compulsive who want authenticity. There is also a small glitch when the joystick is in the upper right or lower right position and a jab punch is trying to be placed, but it does not really affect gameplay in any significant way. No memory retention after power down. If you want no sound in attract mode then you will have to select that option every single time you power on the unit. It will not save high scores. I have mine installed on a power strip with several other mini arcade games and would like to turn the switch on and have the game start playing, however this game boots up with the "one or two player" screen and will sit there stagnant until you choose an option. I wish that they would have placed a timer on the player screen so it will default to one player by itself if nothing is chosen after, say, 10 seconds. And it won't retain the dip switch settings you can select manually in the game. Otherwise a really cool little game that pretty accurately emulates the original arcade machine from my childhood. My Arcade, please take note on your next emulated arcade title, Please put a timer on the initial select screen so the game will begin playing automatically without having to push a button and also add flash memory to the unit so it will retain dip switch settings and high scores. And if you release any other vintage titles please consider using four-way joysticks for 4-way joystick games. 8 way joystick games used on 4-way joystick games make the game play pretty much impossible... the machines look awesome but are very hard to play compared to your competitors who released the same vintage titles. Keep up the good work, this was meant to be constructive criticism only by one of your big fans.

I wish I hadn’t put this one off for so long. I have been collecting MyArcade micro players for years and this one was in my list for a while now but after getting it and playing it, a game I NEVER played in an arcade or growing up, that I am actually pretty good at it and have grown to love playing this more than others. Very well constructed and the design is classic like the original, with an illuminated background with a two way mirror in front for the rear facing screen to project off. It’s visually stunning for such an early arcade machine. This little thing is by far the best and most accurate MyArcade player to date. This actually has me wanting to give the real thing a shot the next time I go to my local arcade. Simply put it’s simply fun. *If you’re wondering, YES this game is programmed like the og with a possible 300 pts shot on the first UFO of every level if hit on the 23rd shot from start of level, then every following 15th shot in that same level. You can rack up some quick points if you get good at that.

Simplemente me Encanta! Es una gozada encontrar estos juegos de antes aquí. La pega que le veo es que no lleva batería interna para cargar por usb, y si la quieres usar sin estar conectada al cable, tienes que tirar de pilas. Una batería estaría genial para no andar usando pilas a estas alturas.

Il prodotto è giunto a casa in condizioni perfette, grazie ad un ottimo imballaggio. La sorpresa più grande è stata le dimensioni del mini cabinato, davvero generose. L'impatto da subito mi ha riportato indietro negli anni '90, quando Street Fighter regnava nelle sale giochi, ma la magia di quegli anni è diventata ancora più palpabile non appena l'ho acceso: luci della gettoniera e della scritta in alto, avvio della rom identica al cabinato, suoni stratosferici (le casse sono frontali, sopra lo schermo) e grafica meravigliosa. A tal proposito inizialmente ero titubante per lo schermo lcd; ai tempi era crt, ma grazie alle dimensioni contenute, la grafica non solo non risulta "schiacciata" o "spalmata", ma addirittura è identica all'originale. Oltre al tasto per inserire i gettoni, ci sono altri due tasti: uno per iniziare a giocare e l'altro il per le opzioni. La schermata delle opzioni permette di regolare la difficoltà del gioco, la luminosità dello schermo e se in modalità demo il mini cabinato deve anche emettere i suoni come in sala. L'audio è regolabile a parte tramite due tasti posti nella parte posteriore del cabinato, dove è presente anche il jack per le cuffie. È possibile alimentarlo con batterie, oppure tramite cavo mini usb type B (non l'ultimo tipo per intenderci). Che altro aggiungere? L'aspetto del cabinato è molto fedele, il joystick e i bottoni restituiscono quelle sensazioni e rumori tipici da sala (la manifattura dei pulsanti in particolare è eccellente) e sono comodi da usare, il gioco è esattamente quello che uscì nei mitici anni '90 e non appena si inizia a giocare, si è subito teletrasportati indietro nel tempo di circa trent'anni. Per chi ama Street Fighter e per chi ha amato le sale giochi è un acquisto dovuto. Questo mini cabinato mi ha spinto a cercarne altri per un full immersion.
