We had the rainiest fall on record in Phoenix. Installed 11 gutter sticks to keeps the leaves and debris away from the gutter drains. These Gutter Sticks allow the water to keep flowing and they’re working flawlessly. Now all the leaves from my neighbor’s house aren’t causing my gutter drains to clog. This is a good design to extend the time between gutter cleaning, but if you live around deciduous trees, you will still have to clean your gutters once or twice a year. If you have gutter straps to install under, too much effort for a marginal improvement over a screen insert. I have tract home basic 4" gutters, adjusting for gutter width is no big deal. cut / snap off a scored long section of the base plate. However, , I also have low gutter straps. This won't fit under them without modification: 1. reduce (cut off) the depth of the part that goes into the downspout 2. take it apart and cut out the top of gutter stick where it has to fit under the gutter strap. Maybe no big deal if you are working from above the gutter, but my gutters are higher than I can reach on my ladder, so I am working blind above my head. I returned it.

I like that this product helps to prevent leaves and other debris from clogging downspouts to allow water to keep flowing in gutters especially when there is a storm and leaves continually comes down and you don't want to risk safety cleaning the gutters then. I like the idea of the size and multiple holes to allow the water to flow. I had the metal round bird nest product before in the downspouts which are ok but them seem to clog sooner. In some cases where the gutter connection bar was near the downspout I had to cut the gutter stick to make it fit as instructed in the gutter stick went live but it was not hard to do. I wish the outlet hole was a bigger larger to allow for more water volume for a very heavy rain however that does not happen that long and the gutter stick is still more important to have to prevent clogging. You still need to clean your gutters once in a while but this product buys you time.

I installed one Gutter Stick on the house's gutter and one on the garage's gutter. The rectangular base was flemsy and won't stay flush with the bottom of the gutter without using glue or adhesive. Gutter Stick may keep debris out of the downspout but it also reduces the drainage rate of the water which caused my gutters to overflow after just a few minutes of rain. I decided to get rid of the Gutter Sticks and install leaf guards from Amerimax Home Products instead. I should have done that in the first place. For less than the price of 2 Gutter Sticks, you can keep debris completely out of your gutters.

Had to return have very old gutters that are not deep and these did not fit right into the gutter. they appear to be a great item that would help people with newer gutters. I gave 3 stars because I could not use but do not think it is a bad item. I think it would be a very valuable item for many gutters from preventing drainage.

Great product! Has stopped gutter overflow. Now I can wait until all the leaves have fallen to clean gutters one time. Easy to install. Have tried several other products but still had to clean gutters multiple times as leaves would get stuck in them causing overflow.

Summary: Install the Gutter Stick in a clean downspout and your downspout will not clog… Period! Worth every penny. The Build: This is a beautiful, well designed product. Detail: I was pleasantly surprised to see Amazon offer the Gutter Stick with Prime shipping. I have been using this product for the past 2 years with “flawless” results. I have installed Gutter Stick at my personal residence and my rental home. I use one Gutter Stick for each downspout for a total of thirteen units. In a typical Northern California rain season, I will need to clear my gutter downspouts numerous times at multiple downspout locations. With the Gutter Stick I have not had even one clogged downspout over two seasons. Amazing! I still clean out my gutters each fall, however I no longer need to pull out my ladder during a heavy downpour to free up my downspout. Can’t ask for anything more. These are the real deal and I consider these a must have to protect my home investment and give me peace of mind. Thank you Gutter Stick…. Final Thought: If your gutter downspouts cannot keep up with a driving rain and frequently overflow, I recommend adding an additional downspout along the affected area. The Gutter Stick is not designed to produce more water flow than originally exists. It is designed as a clog prevention solution…. This device works exactly as advertised….
