Torani Blood Orange Syrup, 25.4 Ounce

I had a drink somewhere that was made with this syrup, sparkling water, and lemonade - it was delicious so I had to buy the syrup to make my own drinks at home. It's great mixed with just sparkling water, club soda, ginger ale...you name it. I mix a little with diet lemon-lime soda as well for a light, refreshing, orangey drink. You control the sweetness. Great stuff!

Love this syrup. Add it to water and hot and cold tea. I live in the North Bay of California so I feel good supporting a locally made product.

Very good, but a bit pricey

Great syrup…..it doesn’t take a lot. Very concentrated or I should say think but very good!

I liked what I received, but it does not have the "true" flavor of blood orange juice. I am using it in my adult beverages, and yes, it does add flavor.

This is good stuff. I like to have soda from my soda stream with a bit of lemon or lime juice but occasionally I like a little more sweetness. Regular soda pop is usually too sweet though, and the soda stream flavors are awful imho. I found this and decided to give it a try. It's good, very good. Not as good as San Pellegrino canned soda which tastes suspiciously like it came from heaven (how DO they make that soda so yummy?), but better than anything I can come up with at home. I like to add about 2 oz. to a 16 oz glass then the soda. When I'm feeling frisky I add a dash of lemon juice, it brightens it up a little. I figure I'll get 12 servings out of the bottle, and adding in the cost of the soda stream, it comes out to about 2 bucks a glass, not a big savings, but I like not having to deal with returnable bottles so this is a thumbs-up for me.

I have used many Torani products before and think they are excellent quality. I bought Blood Orange because I couldn't get Orange, which I like to use in coffee drinks, and in some baking. Upon using it for the first time, the creamer curdled. I thought it had gone bad even though the date was still current. I had a new half and half creamer, so I dumped the opened one and use the new one in a fresh cup of coffee. Again the cream curdled. Later, I tested the flavoring in a cup of milk, and it also curdled it. I'm sure this syrup is fine for non-dairy cocktails, and perhaps there is something about the chemistry of a blood orange that has this curdling property, but not being able to use it to flavor dairy beverages (we also like to add orange flavoring to hot cocoa, in yogurt, and over ice cream) limits its use for us. Additionally, blood orange is not as naturally sweet as navel oranges, which further limits its use. This bottle is dark amber glass with a plastic lid, if you are curious about its packaging. I prefer glass for flavorings because glass increases the shelf life.

This product is sold without manufacturing date. Looks to be very old. Amazon should check manufacturing date for food items before selling.

It’s really tasty but just a bit more tart than expected. Still delicious though! I’ve used it with soda stream water, with lemonade, with water. With grenadine, soda water, lemonade and 3 pumps. All yummy.
