This is a review of the LAUNCH X431 PROS Elite bi-directional scan tool. Considering the price point, I believe this scan tool it targeting the advanced DIYer that wants to work on their own vehicles. However, do not let the low price fool you. This is a very capable scan tool, and would be a suitable tool for the professional mechanic. There are many expandable functions for the pro, like support for ADAS, oscilloscopes, a battery tester, IMMO programming, borescope and key programming. Reporting can also be customized for business use and shared with customers. Remote diagnostics is also possible, which connects you with other mechanics. Vehicle coverage includes most brands on the planet. It comes in a tough carrying case that protects it from hard knocks. The tablet itself is also tough feeling, and should not be easily damaged bouncing around a toolbox. It's 8 inch screen is bright and clear. Boot up is a bit slow, but once running, it is fast. Moving between functions and modules is quick and simple. WiFi connectivity is fast. Its battery holds up over several days, and would probably last a couple of days under constant use. There are nearly 40 service functions avail on the X431. It has very useful live data stream graphing capabilities, as well as pre and post repair reporting. In short, this is a great bi-directional scan tool for its price!

The bidirectional controls and active tests are incredible, and a wide range of reset functions allow me to perform adaptations, resets, and calibrations with confidence. From EPB services and injector coding to full-system scans, it handles it all. The two years of free updates provide excellent value. For any serious technician or advanced DIYer looking for a powerful, versatile, and reliable scanner, this one is highly recommended. It has already paid for itself.

I purchased the X431 Pros Elite for its bidirectional capabilities. This scanner / programmer is full of functionality. The X431 scans all of the vehicle modules quickly and even identifies problems I didn’t expect it to! It has a large screen and is user-friendly. It did take about an hour to install all of the updates after initial startup. Other than that its ready to use out of the box. There is a convenient folding bracket on the back to hang the X431 on the steering wheel. The X431 gives you the ability to configure or calibrate any device you have to replace, it is far more than just a scan tool. I really like the real-time data streaming. The X431 can be used to test actuators, making troubleshooting a breeze. Only limitations I’ve found are A/F mapping and changing transmission shifting characteristics. Other than that, 10/10 would recommend!

I really enjoy doing my own work, with this unit, you can turn on and off items with your vehicle that you think might be not working correctly. You can also analyze items as you are driving to see if they are working correctly. I've saved so much money fixing my vehicles. I was even able to fix and analyze my father ABS breaks on his Jeep. This little scan tool really works! This is well worth the cost!

I have bought many Launch products in the past and this is a great product. Setup was easy with good directions and very good customer support. It allows you to do many bi-directional functions needed on modern cars and an affordable price. Very Happy Customer

I bought one unit from launch and could not get it up and running even after using an autel for five years this company is hard to deal with you have to write your complaint and wait for an answer well the first went back I purchased a new and better used it for the first month no problems then I went to use it after a month and 2 days just outside amazon return policy and someone from launch accessed my unit and put the configuration back to my first computer and now this one does not work so I am back to step one . Why they did this I still don't no I'm in the process of an attorney so this can be resolved

Extremely satisfied with this scanner. Launch brand came recommended to me by a friend that is a mechanic and it does not disappoint. You can view PIDs like most scanners but the graphing function has been a huge benefit. It is bi-directional so you can actuate functions on the vehicle - I have found this to be extremely useful in troubleshooting. One aspect I recently found was the ability to generate vehicle health reports and create a QR code/link to send to someone. The price is well in-line with what is offered. I would not hesitate to buy. Setup was easy and the user interface is easy to navigate. It comes with a create carrying case and everything feels high quality. I am an amateur and work on vehicles as a hobby, but can see this being effective in professional settings as well.

Excellent device for all makes, works great with my Porsche and Toyota.

Ein gutes Produkt funktioniert einwandfrei , Updates machen geht schnell und einfach ohne Probleme danach ein paar kleine Einstellungen machen und los geht’s. Man wird gleich vom Support begrüßt ! Sogar für Anfänger geeignet . Gute Übersicht im Menü und den ganzen sonder Funktionen die mit Bild und ausführlicher Anleitung dargestellt werden! Eine kaufempfehlung von meiner Seite👍

Prodotto molto interessante, non ho ancora avuto modo di testarlo a dovere ma per ora si è rivelato molto soddisfacente, sono riuscito ad arrivare dove altri hanno fallito, stupenda la funzione di stampa del report tramite WIFI, testato con successo l'arretramento dei pistoni posteriori di un Nissan Qashqai j11 per sostituzione delle pastiglie dei freni, ottima la funzione di misurazione dei parametri in tempo reale, si possono vedere in lista tutti i parametri dell'auto oppure si puo scegliere cosa visualizzare, in modalità grafico se ne possono visualizzare solo 8 in contemporanea, sarebbe veramente il top se si potrebbe avere in futuro con magari qualche aggiornamento la possibilità di monitorare più parametri in grafici magari su più pagine, concludo con il dire che la spedizione è arrivata in tempi brevissimi, venditore TOP!!! Aggiungo anche è molto professionale nonostante la semplicità di utilizzo non è adatto per i principianti perchè la curiosità di provare le funzioni se non si sa cosa si fa si rischia di poter fare qualche danno Consiglio l'acquisto!!!
