TOO PRETTY FOR PORN™ is the sonic lovechild of Sean starring Deluxe. And CHECKTHETECHNiQUE.com is their label. The duo's self-produced release 'Essesin' was created by TOO PRETTY FOR PORN™ in their Basement Laboratory under the sea. It is the follow-up to their crack first offering 'the demonstration'. Deluxe is music, vocals, bass, beats, lyrics. Sean is music, guitar, keys, lyrics. Inventing the labEL: FUCK LABELS, they blend elements of Hip-Hop, Rock, R&B and Jazz to create a dramatic landscape for your modern climax. The music is more of a chemical reaction than a deliberate act. The point is to turn you out. Immerse yourself in it. It's lush. Written, performed and recorded by Sean and Deluxe, 'Essesin' is that rarity: an original thought. Visit 2PRETTY4PORN.COM to get that hot, limited edition 'too pretty for porn' t-shirt.

Sexy evolution of edgy R&B and Soul
I bought this album because Too Pretty for Porn is a local band who I saw perform a few weeks ago. I'm a musician with a jaded ear, a nasty attitude, and I'm usually underwhelmed by the redundant mediocrity I hear in LA.Too Pretty for Porn only played 2 songs (not on this album) but it was enough for me to seek them out because they are that good and that fcukin' original. I even looked them up on myspace - which is psychotic... (if you knew me you'd know)I have to say, when I saw the band, they sounded more raw and harder than they do on this CD - but I was still FAR from dissapointed by this album.Even though this an small indie release, the music is DOPE.The vocals & lyrics are artful, strange and sexy. The guitar is on point. The bass is sly, and the beats, the beats, the beats.... are insane. It's hard to describe it or lable it -because the music changes from pretty to psychedelic to jazz to funk to rock - usually within one song. All I can say is that I look forward to hearing more from this trippy trio. If you are in LA, See them live!
