I'm a fan of the 90s tv show and the Netflix series so I had to have this volume. I love the artist' style and the atmosphere created in this first volume, the story is interesting and I can't wait to read the next volumes. It's a pity that there isn't an edition in Italian language but the reading was still easy.

I bought this book some time ago, because I was about to begin reading the Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina graphic novel, and then indulge in the Netflix Series (which I STILL can't believe they haven't released a blu-ray for, YET >:-<). I had decided to read this Sabrina reboot collection FIRST, so I waited for it to arrive, even though the other stuff was burning in my hands to be read and enjoyed. I was very glad to read this one because it followed all the tropes of the original property line of Sabrina that came before it, while updating some things and making it feel fresh. I have subsequently collected a few volumes of Jughead just to see her introduction to them, and enjoy her continued adventures there, while I waited for Something Wicked to be collected (just ordered SW here on Amazon a few minutes ago). The stories collected in this reboot collection are very fun, and while they fulfill that need to revisit High School (because SOME of US actually ENJOYED High School), they aren't really as juvenile as some would figure. Sabrina herself is written as a precocious and smart teenager, which is refreshing considering how young adult reads can talk down to its target audience by not providing a sophisticated read. This book is well done, the artwork is simple but well put together, and has some truly shining moments, particularly when Sabrina had to do something that she knows her aunties have restricted her from doing, but has to do it in order to help them, when she suspects something is wrong. The situation turns out to be what she suspects, and it was a very cool piece within the story. Unfortunately, I had hoped that since the writer of the Chilling Sabrina graphic novel had completely rewritten his work as the showrunner of the Netflix series, that he would be up on this story, and thusly INCLUDE this segment somewhere in the show, but alas . . . I will NEVER see this happening brought to life in any way outside of this story. I highly recommend this collection and others to follow in this series, though.
