Great Product despite the Hauwei name
This thing is amazing considering price and size. Auto connect to 4G LTE, no problem. Takes external antenna with adapter cable Connects indoors, without external antenna where other M2M Routers struggle without outdoor antenna. Considering using 2 of these on battery supply and small cheap 4 port router to give fully redundant dual SIM failover. Recon it might be cheaper than other solutions

Superb USB 4G Dongle
Purchased this to use on my TP Link Router as an emergency backup when BT line was down. I used this for 2 weeks flawlessly, I received 32Mbps Download and 8Mbps Upload constantly, this was with multiple devices connected. Would definitely recommend and will be keeping as an emergency backup in the future.

Ideal temporary device
Amazon for the second time today wants me to talk about 'sheerness' and 'thickness'. What do they think ive been buying!? I used this as an initial step into 4g as an alternative to to fibre broadband. I was living in a temporary place, very rural. I had my own router that supported 4g but didn't have a sim slot. It worked well. Gave a decent signal and kept me connected for six months or so. I'd say this is ideal for a temporary setup. And for the price, would highly recommend it for that purpose. Check this will work for you before if you can. If you seriously want to go the 4g route, its perfectly viable for everything, ive used 4g now for a year and use well over a terabyte a month, HD streaming, gaming, huge downloads but online gaming in my experience is tricky, ping, lag, is a little too high. But if you intend on doing it longer term, then get a more dedicated 4g router, i more than tripled my speed going from the dongle to a dedicated 4g router. From around 20 to 70mbps. Not to detract from this though, very capable depending on your needs. As you are looking at this device, do yourself a favour and Google kenstips, friendly helpful site on all things mobile broadband.

This is brilliant. I put it in the office of my local golf club- their broadband speed was less that 1Mbps. They now have 26 MBps over 4G using this. If you live in a remote area but with decent 3/4G I'd recommend using one of these with a compatible router. I used a TP-Link Archer MR3420

Sim doesn't work
Unfortunately, I am unable to properly review the E3372. I was let down by the Smarty sim, I thought I would try it, it didn't work at all. The sim wouldn't activate, had to contact Smarty and I was told it can take up to 4 days for the sim to activate, much too long for me. Not sure if this is a new service, doesn't seem like it's quite up and running properly yet if so. Will get a sim that works from giff gaff and try again.

Trouble loading drivers. Not a bad device once working.
I purchased this item as it is the same model as advertised on the O2 shop at the time of purchase. On receipt, with the addition of a PAYG data sim, the drivers failed to load properly for the modem part of the E3372 (RNDIS - Remote Network Driver Interface Specification) when plugged into my Windows7 computer, meaning that I couldn't use the device. The Huawei site and forums were not helpful as they do not supply separate drivers for this model, and indeed, on review of their website, this device seems obsolete and not supported any more. Several frustrated hours looking through various forums, telling me interesting things I could do with my device once I got it working properly, all in foreign languages, I still had no joy in finding drivers or getting an actual fix for this device. I decided to review some of the Microsoft forums, most of which were equally unhelpful, but finally coming across a troubleshooting guide for failed RNDIS drivers in windows. Long story short, manually selecting the type of RNDIS device in the windows device manager and hey presto my E3372 finally works. Very frustrating start to this item, but it works now, I haven't had any further problems on unplugging and reinserting the device, and this seems to be a suitable tool for mobile internet. The device operating program (which runs via a browser) did give me a bit of trouble as some of the links did not work, but I think this may be more down to the browser than the device itself, as a change of browser and the issue seemed to resolve itself. Once again, frustrating, but once resolved it is working fine.

It works
This is used as a 3G/4G failover dongle for a Draytek router. Note it connects DHCP and not PPP to the mobile networks.
