Great decaf
Love this decaf - great flavor and a great price. I like that it's water process decaf, so it doesn't have that off flavor that so many decafs have. It works great in my super automatic - it's not too oily. Flavor is good - pretty smooth but also has some complexity to it.

Deep flavor profile, clean finish
I really love this organic espresso. We have a Breville Expresso maker with grinder (now over 10 years old and still loving it) and this makes a truly great espresso when ground and brewed in one shot. It has a complex, deep and satisfying flavor and has a very clean mouth feel and taste. This last point is important because many coffees are too heavily processed and end up with a chemical residual taste or feel. I think DD is guilty of this. If you are a regular decaf espresso drinker, you know that finding a good decaf espresso that has full body is not always easy. This one does not disappoint and it's organic beans and decaf process ensures a natural experience. Have also gifted this to others who also felt similarly about it. While not cheap, it's not outrageous given current premium coffee prices.

Fresh & Delicious
I have been subscribing to this coffee for more than 5 years…get a bag a month. I have tried various coffees-dark roast, Colombian, French roast, espresso…I always come back to this one! I grind the beans each morning for my French press. The aroma of the beans is enjoyable…especially first thing in the morning! The bag is fresh and air tight! I do wonder why the bag is clear as many coffee brands are in bags that ‘hide’ the beans for freshness…but I don’t think it impacts these beans. The coffee taste, to me, is delicious. As a dark roast/espresso, it is a strong flavor…but that is what I like. 😎

Great Quality Beans, But This is a Dark Roast
I'm always on the hunt for a good, whole bean, organic decaf, so decided to give this one a try. First, the good stuff: The quality is definitely there. When I opened the bag, the beans had a great, fresh aroma, and they looked rich and uniform with very few broken pieces. After grinding and pulling a few shots (americano's via the espresso machine), the flavor is smooth, full-bodied. It's a clean-tasting coffee. My only heads-up for other buyers is about the roast level. It's labeled as a "medium roast," but these are definitely on the dark side of the spectrum. The beans have a noticeable oily sheen, and the flavor profile is much closer to a French or Italian roast—very low acidity with heavy, dark chocolate notes and a smoky finish. Now, if you LIKE a dark, bold decaf, you'll probably think this is 5-star coffee. It's delicious for what it is. I'm giving it 4 stars because the quality is clearly there, and I will happily drink the whole bag. I just had to knock a star off because it wasn't the true medium roast with the brighter notes I was hoping for. Bottom line: A high-quality, tasty organic decaf. Just be aware you're getting a much darker, bolder cup than "medium" implies.

Amazing coffee
This whole bean decaffeinated is bar far the best coffee I have found. This is better than coffees twice as expensive. If you like a dark roast coffee with low acidity then this is for you.

Tastes burnt, but watery?
I'm assuming I got a bad bag, because most of these reviews can't be talking about the same stuff I received. I waited a couple weeks to open while I finished off the rest of the other coffee I had, but I wish I hadn't. Upon opening they seemed very, very dry and brittle, but figured I'd give it a go anyway. After grinding them up, I made a couple cups in my regular drip coffee maker. It was extremely weak and watery, but burnt tasting. I decided to try again, with a little more grounds. All that did was enhance the burnt flavor, and it still was very translucent and nowhere near a 'dark roast'. I also tried grinding some up a little courser and making cold brew. It was awful, the burnt taste so strong it tasted more like an ashtray than coffee. I threw out the bag they came in since it wasn't resealable, but I know the roast date and expiration date weren't anything too ridiculous or I wouldn't have even opened it. I'm not sure how to reach out to the seller, or that they even would do anything about it since it's been over a month since I bought them. Even though I'm guessing it's just a bad batch, I probably won't be trying them again.

Great coffee at a great price
Great tasting coffee at a great taste. Are there better coffees? You betcha. They cost almost twice as much, tho and I like this stuff just fine. Plus the name Gorilla makes me feel like a wild and savage animal starting a full day of chest thumping and showing people I’m at the top of the food chain.

Smooth Decaf with a Light Body
I love that this coffee is both USDA Organic and Swiss Water Processed—two major wins in my book. It’s a very clean-tasting decaf, without any harsh aftertaste or chemical notes. That said, the flavor is a bit light for my preferences, especially when brewed in a Chemex. I’ve found that grinding it finer than usual helps bring out more of its nutty, chocolatey notes. It’s a great everyday decaf if you value clean ingredients and a mild roast, but bold coffee lovers may want something with a bit more depth.

I love the taste and aroma.

The packaging is clear plastic which doesn't keep the beans as fresh for a longer time due to the beans absorbing the light and heat from the tropical climate leading to earlier degradation, despite keeping in an airtight container. If foil wrappers are used, it wil be more heatproof and prevent light to enter, ensuring the beans of higher level of freshness. Especially since this is a 1kg package that takes me about 3 weeks to consume after opening the package.
