Good Sound Good Company Good Value for the Money
I have other Cyber Acoustics stuff and am happy I bought this little system. It works very well with my computer and allows me to have one of the two monitors displaying a movie with good sound while I deal with the accounting on the other monitor. Salute!

Excellent sound, small size, but bass control is on subwoofer
This is an excellent little speaker system all things considered. I use it as an upgrade to my kitchen TV, which I mostly use to listen to music channels. And given that it's a tiny little TV without even stereo speakers, this is a big upgrade as you would expect. However, one disappointment is that the desktop control dial does _not_ have a bass volume control feature, which is specified in the item's description. There is bass control, but it is on a knob attached to the subwoofer. Which, in most cases including mine, sits on the floor out of easy reach under a table. On the upside, for the most part I can leave the bass level at one generally good place, but some songs are overly bassy, and it'd be nice to adjust on the fly as advertised. But the sound is absolutely amazing, particularly for the price and size. In my kitchen, where the acoustics are awful to abyssmal, this little speaker set comes out like it's a soundproof recording studio. It's one of those things where they've clearly simply gotten it right - the left and right speaker produce crystal clear, warm sound that combines perfectly with the tiny but wildly effective subwoofer. The highs are _very_ crisp and clear, the volume is very good, the bass can be as deep as you need (very impressive considering the tiny, tiny size of the sub!). After comparing it to several others (including several Logitech sets, a brand I've enjoyed thoroughly in the past, and a couple of Altec Lansings), this one comes out ahead for sound quality to my ears even above sets that are twice or thrice the price. The set sounds fantastic, and for under thirty bucks, it's must get.

speaker
at first i was hesitant on buying this speaker but i ended up buying it n i saw all the comments talking abt its good overall n it has some distortion but rlly it doesnt rlly have distortion only if u turn it up fully on a song thats like rlly high n the speakers are made of cheap plastic lowk but its rlly good n the bass thing is smaller than expected but its looks cool and its rlly easy to set up but its kinda a lot of wires i would buy this if your looking for cheap subwoofers but if u have a big budget dont get it you can definitely get something better

The old version of these was much better and more functional.
I have an earlier version of this brand that I bought almost 10 years ago. It still works fine but the potentiometer dial on the side that controls the amount of base (independent of the satellite speakers) has become glitchy. In the new version they put a control on the back of the base cube but it it does not turn down the base only. It turns all speakers down so what is the sense because I have a volume control on my computer that does the exact same thing. The satellite speakers are not interchangeable with the old style base cube. The NEW version of their product in a word..... terrible. The setup is the same as the old version. 1) The dial volume control part does NOT have the separate base control dial on the side. 2) The base cube is tiny and sounds awful. It has the base "rattles". It is NOT clear like the old version. 3) As for the satellite speakers, they are absolutely tiny compared to the old version and more importantly the wires for them are 1/3rd the length of the originals, and this length problem (cannot get the speakers far enough away from each other) is an absolute NO. 4) Even the polarity on the speakers is different so I could not even switch the old satellite speakers with the new ones. I am returning this set immediately, they are absolute junk compared to their old product in my opinion. I'll keep using the old style speakers of this brand until they burn out.

Decent for the price, but you get what you pay for
See update below... 1st review: For the price, it's decent. The volume controller is the number 1 feature that I was looking for so I can manually control the volume of my speakers or headphones. Headphones and/or auxiliary devices (iphone, android, etc.) connect to the volume controller as well (auxiliary cable not included), which is convenient. My only issue seems to be one that others have complained about. There is a constant humming or buzzing sound coming from the subwoofer. The hum is a low sound but I can hear it pretty well. The hum is on from the moment that it is plugged in and switched on (via volume controller), and does not change in volume when the volume of the speakers are changed. UPDATE: A few minutes after writing this review, I realized that I can switch off the subwoofer and speakers via volume control knob BUT still listen and control volume of attached headphones which is AWESOME. I listen via headphones probably 30+ hours a week, and I listen via speakers and subwoofer probably less than a couple hours a week. UPDATE 10/16/2014: I bought another set of these speakers. It seems the hum is not as bad, but still a little noticeable, compared to my first set. I notice that some songs sound better than others with the subwoofer. There are times when I just want to throw away the subwoofer. Then there are times that it's not bad. I wonder at times if I would have rather have paid another $30 to have a better set of speakers. I don't know. I mainly use my headphones so it doesn't bug me too much, I suppose. The two small speakers were great for my use. And, again, the volume control knob is awesome. I use it all day long everyday. UPDATE 12/07/2014: For the most part, I don't use the subwoofer because I am always plugged in with my headphones. The few times that I've listened to music without headphones, I have been unhappy with the subwoofer. It's pretty bad. Even with the knob on the subwoofer turned down almost all the way, it sounds distorted and terrible. I don't know why. It's that way with my other set of the same speakers too, so it's not just this particular one. I guess I get what I paid for, which I think is still fair. I may fork out $75-$100 later on to get some better, name-brand speakers that sound better.

After reading all the bad reviews I thought this thing would be terrible. I bought it anyway because I thought it didn’t make sense what some of the things people were saying. they were very wrong it has tons of bass it can be loud enough to fill most rooms I don’t understand the bad reviews it has a knob on the back that allows you to adjust how much bass and you can go from but no bass way too much bass. I was just running it off my phone and it was loud enough to bug your neighbours. Sure you might not want to use this to DJ parties but it’s great for home use. It’s mind boggling how someone claimed it had no bass. Maybe they didn’t find the knob or received a broken unit. The tweeters are fine. Nothing special but all the basic frequencies are there. It’s a surprisingly good sounding unit for the price. I have much better stereo gear like a 200watt sub woofer and studio monitors so I know what decent bass sounds like and this has decent bass. I bought this for my office. No it’s not a 200watt sub it’s 18watt so you shouldn’t expect to fill clubs. Maybe a small party would be ok.

Got it for my kid, he likes it. I find the bass gets loud, but due to the driver size, it doesn't get very low. Mids and highs don't sound that great, very hollow sounding.
