I originally bought this gift as a gift for my sister's classroom, though it comes home in the summer for my daughter to play with. My sister teaches special education students, and one of the children is on the autism spectrum. I found this Playable ART Ball doing a general search for toys for kids with autism, so I cannot claim thinking of it on my own. My 5-year-old daughter, who is not on the autism spectrum, also loves it as do I. So, it's really a toy for everyone. The balls are connected to each other in some way that I cannot really describe, but they move in pairs and can rotate. You can make a variety of shapes with them and move them around. They are all connected to each other, which I think is clear from the product pictures. The whole thing is just one piece that can be manipulated. While I have not been able to make the cube or some of the stacks shown in the product picture, I do have fun manipulating it. The pieces move around and give them sensory value for lack of a better word. They are wooden but feel smooth, and the piece is easy to manipulate yet will stay in place. That is what makes this a great toy for those on the autism spectrum. I find it relaxing just to sort of mess with them and see what patterns I can make--sort of a stress reliever, I suppose. The paint does wear off after a while, but that is to be expected. After over a year of ownership and being in the hands of many kids, you can see where the paint is wearing then. Still plenty of color.

I was not sure what I was going to get when I ordered this Art Ball. I was looking for something to put on my desk that was both fun and entertaining. I was very surprised when I open the box and saw how big it was. I was not sure how large the size would be, but I am very pleased with the lager size. It takes both hands to hold it, the balls are out he size of a ping pong ball. All In all, I love this Art Ball. It is a great addition to my desk scape and is quiet and entertaining to play with in meetings or long conference calls. My kids find it addicting as well and enjoy posing it in different shapes and contortions. The Quality of the Art Ball is great. The balls are made of wood and the pieces connecting the balls are very strong and hold up well. All in all, if you like desk toys or just need something to keep your hands busy in a long meeting this is great. You will be very pleased with this Playable Art Ball.

I like this. I don't love it. I bought it for my daughter who is a therapist. I thought it might be an interesting addition to her office. She liked it, but I felt like it wasn't as interesting or fun as the reviews or description impy. It is very sturdy, nice solid wood. But once you've moved it around for a few minutes, that's about it. It doesn't really make very interesting shapes. And for the money, I don't think I'd buy it again.

These are easy to manipulate. They move very smoothly. The word is very nice and smooth and colorful. It’s fairly simple to make what looks like a sort of complex shape. I did pop two of them apart, but they popped it back together and so far I have not continue to break at that point, so I think it might be meant to do that but I’m not sure.

My clients love the fun and challenge of this toy. I’m always looking for both beautiful and functional items to add to my office and this is both. It is definitely the most often selected item to play or fidget with. The feel is smooth and easy to hold and it keeps people’s attention for a long time. I’ve had it over 4 years and no signs of wear!

Very sturdy and appealing to look at. Purchased for my dad with Alzheimer's. He was interested in this for only a few minutes and then didn't see the point. Never looked at it again. I thought this was very pricey for what it is.

This a beautiful toy and well made. The colors are vibrant and the wood balls are smooth and move easily. We keep it in our study and refer to it when we are going over school work or studying. As with all fidget toys, it calms the mind and allows the user to process the questions and information in a way that really works. In a world where nearly every toy needs a battery, it is nice to find something that helps one center themselves in such a simple way. Highly recommend this!

I sent these out to my daughter at college who had a bit of anxiety and ADD. She told me she finds herself playing around with these while listening to an online lecture-helps to keep her listening and not drift off. Her roommates also love to play with them. She said it’s made of excellent quality

Se lo compré a mi ahijado, lo abrí por curiosidad ¡y me lo he quedado! Es genial para dejar de pensar y desconectar. Al tacto es muy agradable y visualmente muy bonito. Cuando dejas de usarlo lo puedes dejar en cualquier sitio porque es muy chulo. Es más para mayores como juguete de escritorio que para niños.
