This is the 2nd time buying a product like this. The first time, it was a different brand and the neck on it was too narrow to go over my handle. This one fits perfectly. None of these work well enough to still lift the pan without a potholder, at least not with a gas stove like mine where a lot of heat comes around outside the pot and gets the handles hot, but it helps for quick touches

Okay I have a 15" Cast Iron Lodge so this review is for this handle cover on a 15" Cast Iron Pan. When this pan is hot and I carry the Lodge out to the table full of potatoes or whatever, I always got to the point the handles got way too hot, even wrapped in wet rags or oven mitts. I always felt I was close to dropping it. This heat protection is a game changer. You do not feel the heat, but, you do not feel the handle inside either. Okay now, it does not have great grip as far as holding the pan. So carrying one handed even empty or trying to tilt it for pouring ingredients, grip to the pan is poor and there's a good chance the pan no matter how tight you hold it, will slip out of this cover. The pan will be on the floor and the Silicone Hot Handle Holder will still be in your hand. Use this Handle Holder, only to lift and carry the pan when full and hot. I would like to find a second one that fits the other side handle. So anyway, to carry a heavy hot 15" Cast Iron pan full of fresh cooked food, this is a game changing, gotta have item worth every penny spent. First clear a safe path letting everyone know to stay clear and have a place prepared to set it down. Use this cover over the long handle and your other hand protected, holding the other curved handle. Then lift and go, carefully setting it down in it's pre-prepared location. When it's empty, don't attempt to carry it one handed, swinging next to your leg with the holder in place. The pan will likely slip out of the holder and hit the floor. It works best if you cook with it removed, and then slip it over the handle when you go to carry it. You'll need to have something heat resistant for your hand on the other handle as well. For me this holder is new, so I don't know the durability or how long it will last, but sure seems it will never need replacing unless you lose it.

We’ve used Lodge’s hot handle holder on our Lodge skillet for three months, often multiple times a day on our commercial gas range. It fits snugly and securely — a big improvement over the standard one it replaced. We always leave it on, even when washing the skillet, and make sure the handle stays elevated to keep water out. For this review, I removed it for the first time and found the handle completely clean and like new — just a trace of moisture, maybe a drop. We always cook with olive oil, which holds heat well and can intensify temperatures. Even so, the silicone protector has never gotten hot to the touch or shown any heat damage. It grips well, comes off with a bit of effort, and performs far better than the original. We’re very glad we got it. Well worth the very reasonable price. The skillet and handle protector should hold up for many years to come. Very highly recommend.

This is far thicker and sturdier than the original lodge handle cover. Time will tell how it holds up, but it is thicker and fits tighter.

Doesn't really fit my flat iron Lodge skill, slides right off too easily. You don't won't that with a hot skillet

This fits my lodge cast iron pans perfectly and I am able to put my pan from cooktop to oven easily. It gave good grip and I didn’t feel any heat from the handle. Better than using a potholder!!

Surprising that these are made by Lodge since they fit their handles so poorly. They slip and burn easily. They're almost more of a hazard.

Handle is way too big and loose. Expected better from Lodge.

LODGEのスキレット8インチと10.25インチを持っていたのでそれ用に購入しました。シリコンが厚手なのでこれを付ければ持てなくなる事はありません。ただ、サイズを間違えたか？と思うくらいガバガバで斜めにするとスキレットがすっぽ抜けそうになります。逆に火にかけてる状態で付け外しが容易にできるので、そういう理由なのではと理解しています。
